ਸੰ. नट्. ਧਾ. ਨੱਚਣਾ, ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡਿਗਣਾ, ਭਾਵ- ਦਿਖਾਉਣਾ, ਕੰਬਣਾ, ਸਰਕਣਾ। 2. ਨਾਮ/n. ਨਾਟਕ ਖੇਡਣ ਵਾਲਾ. ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼੍ਯਕਾਵ੍ਯ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ. “ਨਟ ਨਾਟਿਕ ਆਖਾਰੇ ਗਾਇਆ.” (ਗਉ ਮਃ ੫) 3. ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਠਾਟ ਦਾ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਜਾਤਿ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾੜਵ{1199} ਰਾਗ. ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਧਮ ਵਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਭ ਸੰਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ. ਗਾਂਧਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੈਵਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੋਮਲ{1200} ਲਗਦੇ ਹਨ. ਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਚੌਥਾ ਪਹਿਰ ਹੈ.
ਆਰੋਹੀ- ਸ਼ ਰ ਗ ਮ ਪ ਧ ਨ ਸ਼.
ਅਵਰੋਹੀ- ਸ਼ ਨ ਧ ਪ ਮ ਰ ਸ਼.
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨੰਬਰ ਉਨੀਹਵਾਂ ਹੈ। 4. ਦੇਖੋ- ਨਟਨਾ 1. “ਨਟ ਕਰ ਕਹਿਨ ਲਗ੍ਯੋ ਮੁਖ ਕੂਰ.” (ਗੁਪ੍ਰਸੂ) ਮੁੱਕਰਕੇ ਝੂਠ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ. Footnotes:
