‘Sikandar’. Sikandar and Ibrahim were from the same clan and were close friends. Ibrahim was a miscreant. Once he started looking at the newly married wife of a young Brahmin, the Brahmin complained to Sikandar. A fight broke out between Alexander and Ibrahim, Ibrahim was caught, but when he regretted what he had done, Alexander let him go. This atrocity was sung by the bards in a long poem known as ‘Vaar’. Guru Amardas Ji has given direction to sing his one ‘Vaar’ in the same tune.

ਅੰ. Alexander. [سِکندر] ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਕਈ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਇਹ ਹਨ. ਇੱਕ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਫੈਲਕੂਸ{339} ਦਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਯੂਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ. ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਈਰਾਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਫਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਈਸਵੀ ਸਨ ਤੋਂ ੩੨੭ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ “ਪੁਰੁ” ਨੂੰ ਜੇਹਲਮ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਸਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਆਸ ਨਦੀ ਤਕ ਆਕੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ. ਇਸ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ B. C. ੩੨੩ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ. “ਫੈਲਕੂਸ ਪਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੇ ਸੂਰ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਪੂਤ.” (ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ੨੧੭) ਦੇਖੋ- ਅਰਸਤੂੰ।
(੨) ਦੂਜਾ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ- ਐਂਟੀਓਕਸ ਦਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ, ਸੀਰੀਆ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ।
(੩) ਤੀਜਾ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ- ਸਿਮਨ ਦਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ, ਸਾਈਰੀਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਈਸਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮਭਗਤ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ.
(੪) ਚੌਥਾ ਲੋਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ- ਜੋ ਬਹਲੋਲਖਾ਼ਨ ਲੋਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸੀ. ਇਹ ਸਨ ੧੪੮੯ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਤਖਤ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਅਰ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ੧੭ ਫਰਵਰੀ ਸਨ ੧੫੨੭ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਰੇ ਮੋਇਆ. ਫਿਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਜਹਾਜ ਇਸੇ ਸਿਕੰਦਰਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਕੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਸੀ. ਦੇਖੋ- ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ ਨੰ: ੨੮. Footnotes:
