ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਨਹਿ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥ जीअ प्राण प्रभ मनहि अधारा ॥ Jee▫a paraaṇ parabʰ manėh aḋʰaaraa. God is the Breath of Life of my soul, the Support of my mind. ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ माझ महला ५ ॥ Maajʰ mėhlaa 5. Maajh, Fifth Mehl: ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ गुण निधान अमृतु हरि नामा हरि धिआइ धिआइ सुखु पाइआ जीउ ॥१॥ Guṇ niḋʰaan amriṫ har naamaa har ḋʰi▫aa▫é ḋʰi▫aa▫é sukʰ paa▫i▫aa jee▫o. ||1|| The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is the Treasure of Excellence. Meditating, meditating on the Lord’s Name, I have found peace. ||1|| ਭਗਤ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ भगत जीवहि गुण गाइ अपारा ॥ Bʰagaṫ jeevėh guṇ gaa▫é apaaraa. His devotees live by singing the Glorious Praises of the Infinite Lord. ਮਨਸਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਜੋ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਆਵੈ ॥ मनसा धारि जो घर ते आवै ॥ Mansaa ḋʰaar jo gʰar ṫé aavæ. One whose heart’s desires lead him from his own home, ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਮਰਣੁ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ॥ साधसंगि जनमु मरणु मिटावै ॥ Saaḋʰsang janam maraṇ mitaavæ. to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, shall be rid of the cycle of birth and death. ਆਸ ਮਨੋਰਥੁ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਭੇਟਤ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ आस मनोरथु पूरनु होवै भेटत गुर दरसाइआ जीउ ॥२॥ Aas manoraṫʰ pooran hovæ bʰétaṫ gur ḋarsaa▫i▫aa jee▫o. ||2|| His hopes and desires are fulfilled, when he gains the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan. ||2|| ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥ अगम अगोचर किछु मिति नही जानी ॥ Agam agochar kichʰ miṫ nahee jaanee. The limits of the Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord cannot be known. ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥ साधिक सिध धिआवहि गिआनी ॥ Saaḋʰik siḋʰ ḋʰi▫aavahi gi▫aanee. The seekers, the Siddhas, those beings of miraculous spiritual powers, and the spiritual teachers, all meditate on Him. ਖੁਦੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਚੂਕਾ ਭੋਲਾਵਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ खुदी मिटी चूका भोलावा गुरि मन ही महि प्रगटाइआ जीउ ॥३॥ Kʰuḋee mitee chookaa bʰolaavaa gur man hee mėh paragtaa▫i▫aa jee▫o. ||3|| Thus, their egos are erased, and their doubts are dispelled. The Guru has enlightened their minds. ||3|| ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥ अनद मंगल कलिआण निधाना ॥ Anaḋ mangal kali▫aaṇ niḋʰaanaa. Which is the Treasure of bliss, joy, salvation, ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਨਾ ॥ सूख सहज हरि नामु वखाना ॥ Sookʰ sahj har naam vakʰaanaa. intuitive peace and poise; I chant the Name of that Lord. ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪਨਾ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੫॥੩੨॥ होइ क्रिपालु सुआमी अपना नाउ नानक घर महि आइआ जीउ ॥४॥२५॥३२॥ Ho▫é kirpaal su▫aamee apnaa naa▫o Naanak gʰar mėh aa▫i▫aa jee▫o. ||4||25||32|| When my Lord and Master blessed me with His Mercy, O Nanak! Then His Name entered the home of my mind. ||4||25||32||
