ਬੋਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਫਲ ਸਾ ਘਰੀ ॥ बोलि हरि नामु सफल सा घरी ॥ Bol har naam safal saa gʰaree. Fruitful is that moment when the Lord’s Name is spoken. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ भैरउ महला ४ ॥ Bʰæro mėhlaa 4. Bhairao, Fourth Mehl: ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਸਭਿ ਦੁਖ ਪਰਹਰੀ ॥੧॥ गुर उपदेसि सभि दुख परहरी ॥१॥ Gur upḋés sabʰ ḋukʰ par▫haree. ||1|| Following the Guru’s Teachings, all pains are taken away. ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਰਹਰੀ ॥ मेरे मन हरि भजु नामु नरहरी ॥ Méré man har bʰaj naam nar▫haree. O my mind! Vibrate the Name of the Lord. ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਭਉ ਤਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ करि किरपा मेलहु गुरु पूरा सतसंगति संगि सिंधु भउ तरी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kar kirpaa mélhu gur pooraa saṫsangaṫ sang sinḋʰ bʰa▫o ṫaree. ||1|| rahaa▫o. O Lord, be merciful, and unite me with the Perfect Guru. Joining with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I shall cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause|| ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰੀ ॥ जगजीवनु धिआइ मनि हरि सिमरी ॥ Jagjeevan ḋʰi▫aa▫é man har simree. Meditate on the Life of the World; remember the Lord in your mind. ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਪਰਹਰੀ ॥੨॥ कोट कोटंतर तेरे पाप परहरी ॥२॥ Kot kotanṫar ṫéré paap par▫haree. ||2|| Millions upon millions of your sins shall be taken away. ||2|| ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਰੀ ॥ सतसंगति साध धूरि मुखि परी ॥ Saṫsangaṫ saaḋʰ ḋʰoor mukʰ paree. In the Sat Sangat, apply the dust of the feet of the holy to your face; ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕੀਓ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਸੁਰਸਰੀ ॥੩॥ इसनानु कीओ अठसठि सुरसरी ॥३॥ Isnaan kee▫o atʰsatʰ sursaree. ||3|| this is how to bathe in the sixty-eight sacred shrines, and the Ganges. ||3|| ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ॥ हम मूरख कउ हरि किरपा करी ॥ Ham moorakʰ ka▫o har kirpaa karee. I am a fool; the Lord has shown mercy to me. ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਾਰਿਓ ਤਾਰਣ ਹਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥ जनु नानकु तारिओ तारण हरी ॥४॥२॥ Jan Naanak ṫaari▫o ṫaaraṇ haree. ||4||2|| The Savior Lord has saved servant Nanak. ||4||2||
