ਮਾਈ ਰੀ ਆਨ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥ माई री आन सिमरि मरि जांहि ॥ Maa▫ee ree aan simar mar jaaⁿhi. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਅਨ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਨਰਕ ਘੋਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਹਿ ॥ नामु बिसारि चलहि अन मारगि नरक घोर महि पाहि ॥ Naam bisaar chalėh an maarag narak gʰor mėh paahi. Forgetting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he walks on some other path, and falls into the most horrible hell. ਤਿਆਗਿ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਜੀਅਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਪਟਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तिआगि गोबिदु जीअन को दाता माइआ संगि लपटाहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫi▫aag gobiḋ jee▫an ko ḋaaṫaa maa▫i▫aa sang laptaahi. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Forsaking the Lord of the Universe, the Giver of souls, the mortal is engrossed and entangled in Maya. ||1||Pause|| ਅਨਿਕ ਸਜਾਂਈ ਗਣਤ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਗਰਭੈ ਗਰਭਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ अनिक सजांई गणत न आवै गरभै गरभि भ्रमाहि ॥१॥ Anik sajaaⁿ▫ee gaṇaṫ na aavæ garbʰæ garabʰ bʰarmaahi. ||1|| He suffers uncounted punishments, and wanders from womb to womb in reincarnation. ||1|| ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤੇ ਸੇ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥ से धनवंते से पतिवंते हरि की सरणि समाहि ॥ Sé ḋʰanvanṫé sé paṫivanṫé har kee saraṇ samaahi. They alone are wealthy, and they alone are honorable, who are absorbed in the Sanctuary of the Lord. ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗੁ ਜੀਤਿਓ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥੨॥੮੮॥੧੧੧॥ गुर प्रसादि नानक जगु जीतिओ बहुरि न आवहि जांहि ॥२॥८८॥१११॥ Gur parsaaḋ Naanak jag jeeṫi▫o bahur na aavahi jaaⁿhi. ||2||88||111|| By Guru’s Grace, O Nanak! They conquer the world; they do not come and go in reincarnation ever again. ||2||88||111||
