ਹਰਿ ਕਾਟੀ ਕੁਟਿਲਤਾ ਕੁਠਾਰਿ ॥ हरि काटी कुटिलता कुठारि ॥ Har kaatee kutilṫaa kutʰaar. The Lord has cut down the crooked tree of my deceit. ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ सारग महला ५ ॥ Saarag mėhlaa 5. The forest of doubt is burnt away in an instant, by the fire of the Lord’s Name. ||1||Pause|| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਪਰਹਰੀਆ ਕਾਢੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਰਿ ॥ काम क्रोध निंदा परहरीआ काढे साधू कै संगि मारि ॥ Kaam kroḋʰ ninḋaa par▫haree▫aa kaadʰé saaḋʰoo kæ sang maar. Sexual desire, anger and slander are gone; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have beaten them and driven them out. ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੀਤਿਆ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਜੂਐ ਹਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ जनमु पदारथु गुरमुखि जीतिआ बहुरि न जूऐ हारि ॥१॥ Janam paḋaaraṫʰ gurmukʰ jeeṫi▫aa bahur na joo▫æ haar. ||1|| The Gurmukh is successful in this priceless human life; he shall not lose it in the gamble ever again. ||1|| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ आठ पहर प्रभ के गुण गावह पूरन सबदि बीचारि ॥ Aatʰ pahar parabʰ ké guṇ gaavah pooran sabaḋ beechaar. Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and contemplate the Perfect Word of the Shabad. ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸੁ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁਨਹ ਪੁਨਹ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਿ ॥੨॥੮੯॥੧੧੨॥ नानक दासनि दासु जनु तेरा पुनह पुनह नमसकारि ॥२॥८९॥११२॥ Naanak ḋaasan ḋaas jan ṫéraa punah punah namaskaar. ||2||89||112|| Servant Nanak is the slave of Your slaves; over and over again, he bows in humble reverence to You. ||2||89||112||
