ਸੂਰਜੁ ਚੜੈ ਵਿਜੋਗਿ ਸਭਸੈ ਘਟੈ ਆਰਜਾ ॥ सूरजु चड़ै विजोगि सभसै घटै आरजा ॥ Sooraj chaṛæ vijog sabʰsæ gʰatæ aarjaa. The sun rises and sets, and the lives of all run out. ਮਃ ੧ ॥ मः १ ॥ Mėhlaa 1. First Mehl: ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਭਰਿਆ ਫੂਕਿ ਆਖਣਿ ਕਹਣਿ ਨ ਥੰਮੑੀਐ ॥ सभु को भरिआ फूकि आखणि कहणि न थंम्हीऐ ॥ Sabʰ ko bʰari▫aa fook aakʰaṇ kahaṇ na ṫʰamĥ▫ee▫æ. Everyone is puffed up with pride; even after they are spoken to, they do not stop. ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਭੋਗਿ ਕੋਈ ਹਾਰੈ ਕੋ ਜਿਣੈ ॥ तनु मनु रता भोगि कोई हारै को जिणै ॥ Ṫan man raṫaa bʰog ko▫ee haaræ ko jiṇæ. The mind and body experience pleasures; one loses, and another wins. ਨਾਨਕ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਫੂਕ ਕਢਾਏ ਢਹਿ ਪਵੈ ॥੨॥ नानक वेखै आपि फूक कढाए ढहि पवै ॥२॥ Naanak vékʰæ aap fook kadʰaa▫é dʰėh pavæ. ||2|| O Nanak! The Lord Himself sees all; when He takes the air out of the balloon, the body falls. ||2||
