ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥ सभु को लेखे विचि है मनमुखु अहंकारी ॥ Sabʰ ko lékʰé vich hæ manmukʰ ahaⁿkaaree. All are held accountable, even the egotistical self-willed Manmukhs. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਚੇਤਈ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਮਾਰੀ ॥ हरि नामु कदे न चेतई जमकालु सिरि मारी ॥ Har naam kaḋé na chéṫ▫ee jamkaal sir maaree. They never even think of the Name of the Lord; the Messenger of Death shall hit them on their heads. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਪਾਪ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮਨੂਰ ਸਭਿ ਲਦੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਰੀ ॥ पाप बिकार मनूर सभि लदे बहु भारी ॥ Paap bikaar manoor sabʰ laḋé baho bʰaaree. Their sin and corruption are like rusty slag; they carry such a heavy load. ਮਾਰਗੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਡਰਾਵਣਾ ਕਿਉ ਤਰੀਐ ਤਾਰੀ ॥ मारगु बिखमु डरावणा किउ तरीऐ तारी ॥ Maarag bikʰam daraavaṇaa ki▫o ṫaree▫æ ṫaaree. The path is treacherous and terrifying; how can they cross over to the other side? ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੇ ਉਬਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥੨੭॥ नानक गुरि राखे से उबरे हरि नामि उधारी ॥२७॥ Naanak gur raakʰé sé ubré har naam uḋʰaaree. ||27|| O Nanak! Those whom the Guru protects are saved. They are saved in the Name of the Lord. ||27||
