Forsake your pride, and abandon your ego; join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਏਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ਦੋਖ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥ हरि सिमरि एक रंगि मिटि जांहि दोख मीत ॥१॥ Har simar ék rang mit jaaⁿhi ḋokʰ meeṫ. ||1|| Meditate in loving remembrance of the One Lord; your sorrows shall be ended, O friend. ||1|| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ पारब्रहम भए दइआल ॥ Paarbarahm bʰa▫é ḋa▫i▫aal. The Supreme Lord God has become merciful; ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਏ ਬਿਖੈ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥ बिनसि गए बिखै जंजाल ॥ Binas ga▫é bikʰæ janjaal. corrupt entanglements have come to an end. ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾਂ ਕੈ ਚਰਨ ਲਾਗਿ ॥ साध जनां कै चरन लागि ॥ Saaḋʰ janaaⁿ kæ charan laag.
