ਅਗੀ ਪਾਲਾ ਕਪੜੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਖਾਣਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਵਾਉ ॥ अगी पाला कपड़ु होवै खाणा होवै वाउ ॥ Agee paalaa kapaṛ hovæ kʰaaṇaa hovæ vaa▫o. If fire and ice were my clothes, and the wind was my food; ਸੁਰਗੈ ਦੀਆ ਮੋਹਣੀਆ ਇਸਤਰੀਆ ਹੋਵਨਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭੋ ਜਾਉ ॥ सुरगै दीआ मोहणीआ इसतरीआ होवनि नानक सभो जाउ ॥ Surgæ ḋee▫aa mohṇee▫aa isṫaree▫aa hovan Naanak sabʰo jaa▫o. and even if the enticing heavenly beauties were my wives, O Nanak-all this shall pass away! ਮਃ ੧ ॥ मः १ ॥ Mėhlaa 1. First Mehl: ਭੀ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ ਆਖਣ ਲਹੈ ਨ ਚਾਉ ॥੪॥ भी तूहै सालाहणा आखण लहै न चाउ ॥४॥ Bʰee ṫoohæ salaahṇaa aakʰaṇ lahæ na chaa▫o. ||4|| Even then, I would worship and adore You, and my longing to chant Your Praises would not decrease. ||4||
