ਜਜਾ ਜਾਨੈ ਹਉ ਕਛੁ ਹੂਆ ॥ जजा जानै हउ कछु हूआ ॥ Jajaa jaanæ ha▫o kachʰ hoo▫aa. JAJJA: When someone, in his ego, believes that he has become something, ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਜਉ ਜਾਨੈ ਹਉ ਭਗਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥ जउ जानै हउ भगतु गिआनी ॥ Ja▫o jaanæ ha▫o bʰagaṫ gi▫aanee. When he believes, in his ego, that he is a devotee and a spiritual teacher, ਬਾਧਿਓ ਜਿਉ ਨਲਿਨੀ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਸੂਆ ॥ बाधिओ जिउ नलिनी भ्रमि सूआ ॥ Baaḋʰi▫o ji▫o nalinee bʰaram soo▫aa. he is caught in his error, like a parrot in a trap. ਆਗੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਮਾਨੀ ॥ आगै ठाकुरि तिलु नही मानी ॥ Aagæ tʰaakur ṫil nahee maanee. then, in the world hereafter, the Lord of the Universe shall have no regard for him at all. ਜਉ ਜਾਨੈ ਮੈ ਕਥਨੀ ਕਰਤਾ ॥ जउ जानै मै कथनी करता ॥ Ja▫o jaanæ mæ kaṫʰnee karṫaa. When he believes himself to be a preacher, ਬਿਆਪਾਰੀ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਜਿਉ ਫਿਰਤਾ ॥ बिआपारी बसुधा जिउ फिरता ॥ Bi▫aapaaree basuḋʰaa ji▫o firṫaa. he is merely a peddler wandering over the earth. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥ साधसंगि जिह हउमै मारी ॥ Saaḋʰsang jih ha▫umæ maaree. But one who conquers his ego in the Company of the Holy, ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੇ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੨੪॥ नानक ता कउ मिले मुरारी ॥२४॥ Naanak ṫaa ka▫o milé muraaree. ||24|| O Nanak! Such a person meets the Lord. ||24||
