ਹੋਦੈ ਪਰਤਖਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੋ ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਦਰਿ ਢੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ होदै परतखि गुरू जो विछुड़े तिन कउ दरि ढोई नाही ॥ Hoḋæ parṫakʰ guroo jo vichʰuṛé ṫin ka▫o ḋar dʰo▫ee naahee. Those who separate themselves from the Guru, in spite of His Constant Presence - they find no place of rest in the Court of the Lord. ਮਃ ੪ ॥ मः ४ ॥ Mėhlaa 4. Fourth Mehl: ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਸੇ ਸਭ ਜਗਤਿ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਨਿਤ ਭੰਭਲ ਭੂਸੇ ਖਾਹੀ ॥ जो सतिगुरि फिटके से सभ जगति फिटके नित भ्मभल भूसे खाही ॥ Jo saṫgur fitké sé sabʰ jagaṫ fitké niṫ bʰambal bʰoosé kʰaahee. Those who are cursed by the True Guru, are cursed by all the world. They wander around endlessly. ਕੋਈ ਜਾਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਨ ਨਿੰਦਕਾ ਮੁਹ ਫਿਕੇ ਥੁਕ ਥੁਕ ਮੁਹਿ ਪਾਹੀ ॥ कोई जाइ मिलै तिन निंदका मुह फिके थुक थुक मुहि पाही ॥ Ko▫ee jaa▫é milæ ṫin ninḋkaa muh fiké ṫʰuk ṫʰuk muhi paahee. If someone goes to meet with those dull-faced slanderers, he will find their faces covered with spit. ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਪਿਆ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੇ ਲੈਦੇ ਢਹਾ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ ॥ जिन गुरु गोपिआ आपणा से लैदे ढहा फिराही ॥ Jin gur gopi▫aa aapṇaa sé læḋé dʰahaa firaa▫ee. Those who do not publicly affirm their Guru wander around, moaning and groaning. ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਭੁਖ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਨਿਤ ਭੁਖਾ ਭੁਖ ਕੂਕਾਹੀ ॥ तिन की भुख कदे न उतरै नित भुखा भुख कूकाही ॥ Ṫin kee bʰukʰ kaḋé na uṫræ niṫ bʰukʰaa bʰukʰ kookaahee. Their hunger shall never depart; afflicted by constant hunger, they cry out in pain. ਓਨਾ ਦਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਕੋ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੈ ਨਿਤ ਹਉਲੇ ਹਉਲਿ ਮਰਾਹੀ ॥ ओना दा आखिआ को ना सुणै नित हउले हउलि मराही ॥ Onaa ḋaa aakʰi▫aa ko na suṇæ niṫ ha▫ulé ha▫ul maraahee. No one hears what they have to say; they live in constant fear and terror, until they finally die. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖਿ ਨ ਸਕਨੀ ਓਨਾ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਥਾਉ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ सतिगुर की वडिआई वेखि न सकनी ओना अगै पिछै थाउ नाही ॥ Saṫgur kee vadi▫aa▫ee vékʰ na saknee onaa agæ pichʰæ ṫʰaa▫o naahee. They cannot bear the glorious greatness of the True Guru, and they find no place of rest, here or hereafter. ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਿਨ ਜਾਇ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਰਹਦੀ ਖੁਹਦੀ ਸਭ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਹੀ ॥ जो सतिगुरि मारे तिन जाइ मिलहि रहदी खुहदी सभ पति गवाही ॥ Jo saṫgur maaré ṫin jaa▫é milėh rahḋee kʰuhḋee sabʰ paṫ gavaahee. Those who go out to meet with those who have been cursed by the True Guru, lose all remnants of their honor. ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਕੁਸਟੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਜਿ ਓਸੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੁਸਟੁ ਉਠਾਹੀ ॥ ओइ अगै कुसटी गुर के फिटके जि ओसु मिलै तिसु कुसटु उठाही ॥ O▫é agæ kustee gur ké fitké jė os milæ ṫis kusat utʰaahee. They have already become like lepers; cursed by the Guru, whoever meets them is also afflicted with leprosy. ਹਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਜੋ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਹੀ ॥ हरि तिन का दरसनु ना करहु जो दूजै भाइ चितु लाही ॥ Har ṫin kaa ḋarsan naa karahu jo ḋoojæ bʰaa▫é chiṫ laahee. O Lord, I pray that I may not even catch sight of those who focus their consciousness on the love of duality. ਧੁਰਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਕਿਹੁ ਚਾਰਾ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ धुरि करतै आपि लिखि पाइआ तिसु नालि किहु चारा नाही ॥ Ḋʰur karṫæ aap likʰ paa▫i▫aa ṫis naal kihu chaaraa naahee. That which the Creator preordained from the very beginning - there can be no escape from that. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਤੂ ਤਿਸੁ ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋ ਨ ਸਕਾਹੀ ॥ जन नानक नामु अराधि तू तिसु अपड़ि को न सकाही ॥ Jan Naanak naam araaḋʰ ṫoo ṫis apaṛ ko na sakaahee. O servant Nanak! Worship and adore the Naam, the Name of the Lord; no one can equal it. ਨਾਵੈ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਡੀ ਹੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਵਾਈ ਚੜੈ ਚੜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ नावै की वडिआई वडी है नित सवाई चड़ै चड़ाही ॥२॥ Naavæ kee vadi▫aa▫ee vadee hæ niṫ savaa▫ee chaṛæ chaṛaahee. ||2|| Great is the greatness of His Name; it increases, day by day. ||2||
