ਜਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਗੈ ਧਰੇਇ ॥ जा पिरु जाणै आपणा तनु मनु अगै धरेइ ॥ Jaa pir jaaṇæ aapṇaa ṫan man agæ ḋʰaré▫é. If you know that He is your Husband Lord, offer your body and mind to Him. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥ Sireeraag mėhlaa 3. Siree Raag, Third Mehl: ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੀਆ ਸੇਈ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇਇ ॥ सोहागणी करम कमावदीआ सेई करम करेइ ॥ Sohaagaṇee karam kamaavḋee▫aa sé▫ee karam karé▫i. Behave like the happy and pure soul-bride. ਸਹਜੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੜਾ ਸਾਚੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਦੇਇ ॥੧॥ सहजे साचि मिलावड़ा साचु वडाई देइ ॥१॥ Sėhjé saach milaavṛaa saach vadaa▫ee ḋé▫é. ||1|| With intuitive ease, you shall merge with the True Lord, and He shall bless you with true greatness. ||1|| ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ भाई रे गुर बिनु भगति न होइ ॥ Bʰaa▫ee ré gur bin bʰagaṫ na ho▫é. O Siblings of Destiny, without the Guru, there is no devotional worship. ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੇ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ बिनु गुर भगति न पाईऐ जे लोचै सभु कोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Bin gur bʰagaṫ na paa▫ee▫æ jé lochæ sabʰ ko▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Without the Guru, devotion is not obtained, even though everyone may long for it. ||1||Pause|| ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਫੇਰੁ ਪਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥ लख चउरासीह फेरु पइआ कामणि दूजै भाइ ॥ Lakʰ cha▫oraaseeh fér pa▫i▫aa kaamaṇ ḋoojæ bʰaa▫é. The soul-bride in love with duality goes around the wheel of reincarnation, through 8.4 million incarnations. ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਦੁਖੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥ बिनु गुर नीद न आवई दुखी रैणि विहाइ ॥ Bin gur neeḋ na aavee ḋukʰee ræṇ vihaa▫é. Without the Guru, she finds no sleep, and she passes her life-night in pain. ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੨॥ बिनु सबदै पिरु न पाईऐ बिरथा जनमु गवाइ ॥२॥ Bin sabḋæ pir na paa▫ee▫æ birṫʰaa janam gavaa▫é. ||2|| Without the Shabad, she does not find her Husband Lord, and her life wastes away in vain. ||2|| ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤੀ ਜਗੁ ਫਿਰੀ ਨਾ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਪੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥ हउ हउ करती जगु फिरी ना धनु स्मपै नालि ॥ Ha▫o ha▫o karṫee jag firee naa ḋʰan sampæ naal. Practicing egotism, selfishness and conceit, she wanders around the world, but her wealth and property will not go with her. ਅੰਧੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਈ ਸਭ ਬਾਧੀ ਜਮਕਾਲਿ ॥ अंधी नामु न चेतई सभ बाधी जमकालि ॥ Anḋʰee naam na chéṫ▫ee sabʰ baaḋʰee jamkaal. The spiritually blind do not even think of the Naam; they are all bound and gagged by the Messenger of Death. ਸਤਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੩॥ सतगुरि मिलिऐ धनु पाइआ हरि नामा रिदै समालि ॥३॥ Saṫgur mili▫æ ḋʰan paa▫i▫aa har naamaa riḋæ samaal. ||3|| Meeting the True Guru, the wealth is obtained, contemplating the Name of the Lord in the heart. ||3|| ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ नामि रते से निरमले गुर कै सहजि सुभाइ ॥ Naam raṫé sé nirmalé gur kæ sahj subʰaa▫é. Those who are attuned to the Naam are immaculate and pure; through the Guru, they obtain intuitive peace and poise. ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਸਨਾ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਇ ॥ मनु तनु राता रंग सिउ रसना रसन रसाइ ॥ Man ṫan raaṫaa rang si▫o rasnaa rasan rasaa▫é. Their minds and bodies are dyed in the Color of the Lord’s Love, and their tongues savor His Sublime Essence. ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਲਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੪੭॥ नानक रंगु न उतरै जो हरि धुरि छोडिआ लाइ ॥४॥१४॥४७॥ Naanak rang na uṫræ jo har ḋʰur chʰodi▫aa laa▫é. ||4||14||47|| O Nanak! That Primal Color which the Lord has applied, shall never fade away. ||4||14||47||
