ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥ मनमुखु अगिआनु दुरमति अहंकारी ॥ Manmukʰ agi▫aan ḋurmaṫ ahaⁿkaaree. The self-willed Manmukh is ignorant, evil-minded and egotistical. ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਜੂਐ ਮਤਿ ਹਾਰੀ ॥ अंतरि क्रोधु जूऐ मति हारी ॥ Anṫar kroḋʰ joo▫æ maṫ haaree. He is filled with anger within, and he loses his mind in the gamble. ਮਃ ੩ ॥ मः ३ ॥ Mėhlaa 3. Third Mehl: ਕੂੜੁ ਕੁਸਤੁ ਓਹੁ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥ कूड़ु कुसतु ओहु पाप कमावै ॥ Kooṛ kusaṫ oh paap kamaavæ. He commits the sins of fraud and unrighteousness. ਕਿਆ ਓਹੁ ਸੁਣੈ ਕਿਆ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥ किआ ओहु सुणै किआ आखि सुणावै ॥ Ki▫aa oh suṇæ ki▫aa aakʰ suṇaavæ. What can he hear, and what can he tell others? ਅੰਨਾ ਬੋਲਾ ਖੁਇ ਉਝੜਿ ਪਾਇ ॥ अंना बोला खुइ उझड़ि पाइ ॥ Annaa bolaa kʰu▫é ujʰaṛ paa▫é. He is blind and deaf; he loses his way, and wanders lost in the wilderness. ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ नानक पूरबि लिखिआ कमाइ ॥२॥ Naanak poorab likʰi▫aa kamaa▫é. ||2|| O Nanak! He acts according to his preordained destiny. ||2|| ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਥਾਇ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ बिनु सतिगुर भेटे थाइ न पाइ ॥ Bin saṫgur bʰété ṫʰaa▫é na paa▫é. without meeting the True Guru, he finds no place of rest. ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥ मनमुखु अंधा आवै जाइ ॥ Manmukʰ anḋʰaa aavæ jaa▫é. The blind, self-willed Manmukh comes and goes in reincarnation;
