ਧੋਹੁ ਨ ਚਲੀ ਖਸਮ ਨਾਲਿ ਲਬਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਗੁਤੇ ॥ धोहु न चली खसम नालि लबि मोहि विगुते ॥ Ḋʰohu na chalee kʰasam naal lab mohi viguṫé. Deception does not work with our Lord and Master; through their greed and emotional attachment, people are ruined. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਕਰਤਬ ਕਰਨਿ ਭਲੇਰਿਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੁਤੇ ॥ करतब करनि भलेरिआ मदि माइआ सुते ॥ Karṫab karan bʰaléri▫aa maḋ maa▫i▫aa suṫé. They do their evil deeds, and sleep in the intoxication of Maya. ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੂਨਿ ਭਵਾਈਅਨਿ ਜਮ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਮੁਤੇ ॥ फिरि फिरि जूनि भवाईअनि जम मारगि मुते ॥ Fir fir joon bʰavaa▫ee▫an jam maarag muṫé. Time and time again, they are consigned to reincarnation, and abandoned on the path of Death. ਕੀਤਾ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੁਖ ਸੇਤੀ ਜੁਤੇ ॥ कीता पाइनि आपणा दुख सेती जुते ॥ Keeṫaa paa▫in aapṇaa ḋukʰ séṫee juṫé. They receive the consequences of their own actions, and are yoked to their pain. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਇ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਐ ਸਭ ਮੰਦੀ ਰੁਤੇ ॥੧੨॥ नानक नाइ विसारिऐ सभ मंदी रुते ॥१२॥ Naanak naa▫é visaari▫æ sabʰ manḋee ruṫé. ||12|| O Nanak! If one forgets the Name, all the seasons are evil. ||12||
