ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਤਿਨੑ ਕਉ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ जंमणु मरणु न तिन्ह कउ जो हरि लड़ि लागे ॥ Jamaṇ maraṇ na ṫinĥ ka▫o jo har laṛ laagé. Those who are attached to the hem of the Lord’s robe, do not suffer birth and death. ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਜਿਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇਈ ਵਡਭਾਗੇ ॥ साधसंगु जिन पाइआ सेई वडभागे ॥ Saaḋʰsang jin paa▫i▫aa sé▫ee vadbʰaagé. Those who attain the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, are very fortunate. ਜੀਵਤ ਸੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਜਾਗੇ ॥ जीवत से परवाणु होए हरि कीरतनि जागे ॥ Jeevaṫ sé parvaaṇ ho▫é har keerṫan jaagé. Those who remain awake to the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises - their lives are approved. ਨਾਇ ਵਿਸਰਿਐ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਤੂਟੇ ਕਚ ਧਾਗੇ ॥ नाइ विसरिऐ ध्रिगु जीवणा तूटे कच धागे ॥ Naa▫é visri▫æ ḋʰarig jeevṇaa ṫooté kach ḋʰaagé. But those who forget the Name - their lives are cursed, and broken like thin strands of thread. ਨਾਨਕ ਧੂੜਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਸਾਧ ਲਖ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਿਰਾਗੇ ॥੧੬॥ नानक धूड़ि पुनीत साध लख कोटि पिरागे ॥१६॥ Naanak ḋʰooṛ puneeṫ saaḋʰ lakʰ kot piraagé. ||16|| O Nanak! The dust of the feet of the Holy is more sacred than hundreds of thousands, even millions of cleansing baths at sacred shrines. ||16||
