ਬੇਦ ਕੀ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਭਾਈ ॥ बेद की पुत्री सिंम्रिति भाई ॥ Béḋ kee puṫree simriṫ bʰaa▫ee. The Simritee is the daughter of the Vedas, O Siblings of Destiny. ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ॥ गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥ Ga▫oṛee Kabeer jee. Gauree, Kabir Jee: ਆਪਨ ਨਗਰੁ ਆਪ ਤੇ ਬਾਧਿਆ ॥ आपन नगरु आप ते बाधिआ ॥ Aapan nagar aap ṫé baaḋʰi▫aa. She has imprisoned the people in her own city. ਸਾਂਕਲ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਲੈ ਹੈ ਆਈ ॥੧॥ सांकल जेवरी लै है आई ॥१॥ Saaⁿkal jévree læ hæ aa▫ee. ||1|| She has brought a chain and a rope. ||1|| ਮੋਹ ਕੈ ਫਾਧਿ ਕਾਲ ਸਰੁ ਸਾਂਧਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मोह कै फाधि काल सरु सांधिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Moh kæ faaḋʰ kaal sar saaⁿḋʰi▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o. She has tightened the noose of emotional attachment and shot the arrow of death. ||1||Pause|| ਕਟੀ ਨ ਕਟੈ ਤੂਟਿ ਨਹ ਜਾਈ ॥ कटी न कटै तूटि नह जाई ॥ Katee na katæ ṫoot nah jaa▫ee. By cutting, she cannot be cut, and she cannot be broken. ਸਾ ਸਾਪਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਖਾਈ ॥੨॥ सा सापनि होइ जग कउ खाई ॥२॥ Saa saapan ho▫é jag ka▫o kʰaa▫ee. ||2|| She has become a serpent, and she is eating the world. ||2|| ਹਮ ਦੇਖਤ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਲੂਟਿਆ ॥ हम देखत जिनि सभु जगु लूटिआ ॥ Ham ḋékʰaṫ jin sabʰ jag looti▫aa. Before my very eyes, she has plundered the entire world. ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਮੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਛੂਟਿਆ ॥੩॥੩੦॥ कहु कबीर मै राम कहि छूटिआ ॥३॥३०॥ Kaho Kabeer mæ raam kahi chʰooti▫aa. ||3||30|| Says Kabir, chanting the Lord’s Name, I have escaped her. ||3||30||
