ਗਉੜੀ ॥ गउड़ी ॥ Ga▫oṛee. Gauree: ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰੈ ਮਰੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਐਸੇ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥ जीवत मरै मरै फुनि जीवै ऐसे सुंनि समाइआ ॥ Jeevaṫ maræ maræ fun jeevæ æsé sunn samaa▫i▫aa. One who remains dead while still alive, will live even after death; thus, he merges into the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord. ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਭਵਜਲਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ अंजन माहि निरंजनि रहीऐ बहुड़ि न भवजलि पाइआ ॥१॥ Anjan maahi niranjan rahee▫æ bahuṛ na bʰavjal paa▫i▫aa. ||1|| Remaining pure in the midst of impurity, he will never again fall into the terrifying world-ocean. ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਐਸਾ ਖੀਰੁ ਬਿਲੋਈਐ ॥ मेरे राम ऐसा खीरु बिलोईऐ ॥ Méré raam æsaa kʰeer bilo▫ee▫æ. O my Lord, this is the milk to be churned. ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਓਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुरमति मनूआ असथिरु राखहु इन बिधि अमृतु पीओईऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gurmaṫ manoo▫aa asṫʰir raakʰo in biḋʰ amriṫ pee▫o▫ee▫æ. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Through the Guru’s Teachings, hold your mind steady and stable, and in this way, drink the Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||Pause|| ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਾਣਿ ਬਜਰ ਕਲ ਛੇਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਪਦੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥ गुर कै बाणि बजर कल छेदी प्रगटिआ पदु परगासा ॥ Gur kæ baaṇ bajar kal chʰéḋee pargati▫aa paḋ pargaasaa. The Guru’s arrow has pierced the hard core of this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, and the state of enlightenment has dawned. ਸਕਤਿ ਅਧੇਰ ਜੇਵੜੀ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਚੂਕਾ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸਿਵ ਘਰਿ ਬਾਸਾ ॥੨॥ सकति अधेर जेवड़ी भ्रमु चूका निहचलु सिव घरि बासा ॥२॥ Sakaṫ aḋʰér jévṛee bʰaram chookaa nihchal siv gʰar baasaa. ||2|| In the darkness of Maya, I mistook the rope for the snake, but that is over, and now I dwell in the eternal home of the Lord. ||2|| ਤਿਨਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਾਣੈ ਧਨਖੁ ਚਢਾਈਐ ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਭਾਈ ॥ तिनि बिनु बाणै धनखु चढाईऐ इहु जगु बेधिआ भाई ॥ Ṫin bin baaṇæ ḋʰanakʰ chadʰaa▫ee▫æ ih jag béḋʰi▫aa bʰaa▫ee. Maya has drawn her bow without an arrow, and has pierced this world, O Siblings of Destiny. ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਬੂਡੀ ਪਵਨੁ ਝੁਲਾਵੈ ਡੋਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੩॥ दह दिस बूडी पवनु झुलावै डोरि रही लिव लाई ॥३॥ Ḋah ḋis boodee pavan jʰulaavæ dor rahee liv laa▫ee. ||3|| The drowning person is blown around in the ten directions by the wind, but I hold tight to the string of the Lord’s Love. ||3|| ਉਨਮਨਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਾਗੀ ॥ उनमनि मनूआ सुंनि समाना दुबिधा दुरमति भागी ॥ Unman manoo▫aa sunn samaanaa ḋubiḋʰaa ḋurmaṫ bʰaagee. The disturbed mind has been absorbed in the Lord; duality and evil-mindedness have run away. ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਨਭਉ ਇਕੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੪੬॥ कहु कबीर अनभउ इकु देखिआ राम नामि लिव लागी ॥४॥२॥४६॥ Kaho Kabeer anbʰa▫o ik ḋékʰi▫aa raam naam liv laagee. ||4||2||46|| Says Kabir, I have seen the One Lord, the Fearless One; I am attuned to the Name of the Lord. ||4||2||46||
