ਜਿਸੁ ਨੀਚ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ जिसु नीच कउ कोई न जानै ॥ Jis neech ka▫o ko▫ee na jaanæ. That wretched being, whom no one knows - ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ आसा महला ५ ॥ Aasaa mėhlaa 5. Aasaa, Fifth Mehl: ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਉਹੁ ਚਹੁ ਕੁੰਟ ਮਾਨੈ ॥੧॥ नामु जपत उहु चहु कुंट मानै ॥१॥ Naam japaṫ uho chahu kunt maanæ. ||1|| chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he is honored in the four directions. ||1|| ਦਰਸਨੁ ਮਾਗਉ ਦੇਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ दरसनु मागउ देहि पिआरे ॥ Ḋarsan maaga▫o ḋėh pi▫aaré. I beg for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; please, give it to me, O Beloved! ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਉਨ ਕਉਨ ਨ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तुमरी सेवा कउन कउन न तारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫumree sévaa ka▫un ka▫un na ṫaaré. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Serving You, who, who has not been saved? ||1||Pause|| ਜਾ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਕੋਈ ॥ जा कै निकटि न आवै कोई ॥ Jaa kæ nikat na aavæ ko▫ee. That person, whom no one wants to be near - ਸਗਲ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਉਆ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਮਲਿ ਧੋਈ ॥੨॥ सगल स्रिसटि उआ के चरन मलि धोई ॥२॥ Sagal sarisat u▫aa ké charan mal ḋʰo▫ee. ||2|| the whole world comes to wash the dirt of his feet. ||2|| ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਕਾਹੂ ਨ ਆਵਤ ਕਾਮ ॥ जो प्रानी काहू न आवत काम ॥ Jo paraanee kaahoo na aavaṫ kaam. That mortal, who is of no use to anyone at all - ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਮ ॥੩॥ संत प्रसादि ता को जपीऐ नाम ॥३॥ Sanṫ parsaaḋ ṫaa ko japee▫æ naam. ||3|| by the Grace of the Saints, he meditates on the Naam. ||3|| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਨ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗੇ ॥ साधसंगि मन सोवत जागे ॥ Saaḋʰsang man sovaṫ jaagé. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the sleeping mind awakens. ਤਬ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੀਠੇ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੬੩॥ तब प्रभ नानक मीठे लागे ॥४॥१२॥६३॥ Ṫab parabʰ Naanak meetʰé laagé. ||4||12||63|| Then, O Nanak! God seems sweet. ||4||12||63||
