ਉਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਕਰਤੀ ਕੇਲ ॥ उन कै संगि तू करती केल ॥ Un kæ sang ṫoo karṫee kél. With that, you are engaged in playful sport; ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਦੁਤੁਕੇ ੯ ॥ आसा महला ५ दुतुके ९ ॥ Aasaa mėhlaa 5 ḋuṫuké 9. Aasaa, Fifth Mehl, Du-Tukas 9: ਉਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲ ॥ उन कै संगि हम तुम संगि मेल ॥ Un kæ sang ham ṫum sang mél. with that, I am joined to you. ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਲੋਰੈ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तुम सभु कोऊ लोरै ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫum sabʰ ko▫oo loræ. With that, everyone longs for you; ਓਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਊ ਮੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਜੋਰੈ ॥੧॥ ओसु बिना कोऊ मुखु नही जोरै ॥१॥ Os binaa ko▫oo mukʰ nahee joræ. ||1|| without it, no one would even look at your face. ||1|| ਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਕਹਾ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ ते बैरागी कहा समाए ॥ Ṫé bæraagee kahaa samaa▫é. Where is that detached soul now contained? ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਤੁਹੀ ਦੁਹੇਰੀ ਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तिसु बिनु तुही दुहेरी री ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫis bin ṫuhee ḋuhéree ree. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Without it, you are miserable. ||1||Pause|| ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਮਾਹਰਿ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तू ग्रिह महि माहरि ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫoo garih mėh maahar. With that, you are the woman of the house; ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਾਹਰਿ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तू होई है जाहरि ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫoo ho▫ee hæ jaahar. with that, you are respected. ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਰਖੀ ਪਪੋਲਿ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तू रखी पपोलि ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫoo rakʰee papol. With that, you are caressed; ਓਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਛੁਟਕੀ ਰੋਲਿ ॥੨॥ ओसु बिना तूं छुटकी रोलि ॥२॥ Os binaa ṫooⁿ chʰutkee rol. ||2|| without it, you are reduced to dust. ||2|| ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तेरा मानु महतु ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫéraa maan mahaṫ. With that, you have honor and respect; ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਥਾਟੀ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तेरी सभ बिधि थाटी ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫéree sabʰ biḋʰ ṫʰaatee. With that, you are adorned in every way; ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮ ਸਾਕੁ ਜਗਤੁ ॥ उन्ह कै संगि तुम साकु जगतु ॥ Unĥ kæ sang ṫum saak jagaṫ. with that, you have relatives in the world. ਓਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਮਾਟੀ ॥੩॥ ओसु बिना तूं होई है माटी ॥३॥ Os binaa ṫooⁿ ho▫ee hæ maatee. ||3|| without it, you are reduced to dust. ||3|| ਓਹੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ ओहु बैरागी मरै न जाइ ॥ Oh bæraagee maræ na jaa▫é. That detached soul is neither born, nor dies. ਹੁਕਮੇ ਬਾਧਾ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥ हुकमे बाधा कार कमाइ ॥ Hukmé baaḋʰaa kaar kamaa▫é. It acts according to the Command of the Lord’s Will. ਜੋੜਿ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਥਾਪਿ ॥ जोड़ि विछोड़े नानक थापि ॥ Joṛ vichʰoṛé Naanak ṫʰaap. O Nanak! Having fashioned the body, the Lord unites the soul with it, and separates them again; ਅਪਨੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪਿ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੮੨॥ अपनी कुदरति जाणै आपि ॥४॥३१॥८२॥ Apnee kuḋraṫ jaaṇæ aap. ||4||31||82|| He alone knows His All-powerful creative nature. ||4||31||82||
