ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ आसा महला ५ ॥ Aasaa mėhlaa 5. Aasaa, Fifth Mehl: ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੀਐ ॥ अनिक भांति करि सेवा करीऐ ॥ Anik bʰaaⁿṫ kar sévaa karee▫æ. Serve Him in many different ways; ਪਾਨੀ ਪਖਾ ਕਰਉ ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ पानी पखा करउ तजि अभिमानु ॥ Paanee pakʰaa kara▫o ṫaj abʰimaan. Carry water for Him, and wave the fan over Him - renounce your ego. ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨੁ ਆਗੈ ਧਰੀਐ ॥ जीउ प्रान धनु आगै धरीऐ ॥ Jee▫o paraan ḋʰan aagæ ḋʰaree▫æ. Dedicate your soul, your breath of life and your wealth to Him. ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਜਾਈਐ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ॥੧॥ अनिक बार जाईऐ कुरबानु ॥१॥ Anik baar jaa▫ee▫æ kurbaan. ||1|| Make yourself a sacrifice to Him, time and time again. ||1|| ਸਾਈ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥ साई सुहागणि जो प्रभ भाई ॥ Saa▫ee suhaagaṇ jo parabʰ bʰaa▫ee. She alone is the happy soul-bride, who is pleasing to God. ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तिस कै संगि मिलउ मेरी माई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫis kæ sang mila▫o méree maa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. In her company, I may meet Him, O my mother. ||1||Pause|| ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸੀ ਕੀ ਪਨਿਹਾਰਿ ॥ दासनि दासी की पनिहारि ॥ Ḋaasan ḋaasee kee panihaar. I am the water-carrier of the slaves of His slaves. ਉਨੑ ਕੀ ਰੇਣੁ ਬਸੈ ਜੀਅ ਨਾਲਿ ॥ उन्ह की रेणु बसै जीअ नालि ॥ Unĥ kee réṇ basæ jee▫a naal. I treasure in my soul the dust of their feet. ਮਾਥੈ ਭਾਗੁ ਤ ਪਾਵਉ ਸੰਗੁ ॥ माथै भागु त पावउ संगु ॥ Maaṫʰæ bʰaag ṫa paava▫o sang. By that good destiny inscribed upon my forehead, I obtain their society. ਗਰਬੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਤਜਿ ਹੋਵਉ ਰੇਨ ॥ गरबु मोहु तजि होवउ रेन ॥ Garab moh ṫaj hova▫o rén. Renouncing pride and attachment, I become the dust of the feet of the Saints. ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਅਰਪਉ ਸਭ ਹੋਮਾ ॥ करम धरम अरपउ सभ होमा ॥ Karam ḋʰaram arpa▫o sabʰ homaa. I offer all to Him - good actions, righteous conduct and incense burning. ਜਾਪ ਤਾਪ ਦੇਵਉ ਸਭ ਨੇਮਾ ॥ जाप ताप देवउ सभ नेमा ॥ Jaap ṫaap ḋéva▫o sabʰ némaa. I dedicate all to Him - chanting and meditation, austerity and religious observances. ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥ मिलै सुआमी अपुनै रंगि ॥२॥ Milæ su▫aamee apunæ rang. ||2|| Through His Love, the Lord Master meets me. ||2|| ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਦੇਖਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੈਨ ॥੩॥ उन्ह कै संगि देखउ प्रभु नैन ॥३॥ Unĥ kæ sang ḋékʰ▫a▫u parabʰ næn. ||3|| In their society, I behold God with my eyes. ||3|| ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮਖ ਏਹੀ ਆਰਾਧਉ ॥ निमख निमख एही आराधउ ॥ Nimakʰ nimakʰ éhee aaraaḋʰa▫o. Each and every moment, I contemplate and adore Him. ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਏਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾਧਉ ॥ दिनसु रैणि एह सेवा साधउ ॥ Ḋinas ræṇ éh sévaa saaḋʰa▫o. Day and night, I serve Him like this. ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥ भए क्रिपाल गुपाल गोबिंद ॥ Bʰa▫é kirpaal gupaal gobinḋ. The Lord of the Universe, the Cherisher of the World, has become merciful; ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿੰਦ ॥੪॥੩੩॥੮੪॥ साधसंगि नानक बखसिंद ॥४॥३३॥८४॥ Saaḋʰsang Naanak bakʰsinḋ. ||4||33||84|| in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak! He forgives us. ||4||33||84||
