ਮਿਲਿ ਜਲੁ ਜਲਹਿ ਖਟਾਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ मिलि जलु जलहि खटाना राम ॥ Mil jal jalėh kʰataanaa raam. As water mixes and blends with water, ਛੰਤੁ ॥ छंतु ॥ Chʰanṫ. Chhant: ਸੰਮਾਇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਰਤੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਹਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ॥ संमाइ पूरन पुरख करते आपि आपहि जाणीऐ ॥ Sammaa▫é pooran purakʰ karṫé aap aapėh jaaṇee▫æ. Merging with the perfect, all-powerful Creator, one comes to know his own self. ਸੰਗਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ संगि जोती जोति मिलाना राम ॥ Sang joṫee joṫ milaanaa raam. So does one’s light mix and blend with the Lord’s Light. ਤਹ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਏਕੁ ਏਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ॥ तह सुंनि सहजि समाधि लागी एकु एकु वखाणीऐ ॥ Ṫah sunn sahj samaaḋʰ laagee ék ék vakʰaaṇee▫æ. Then, he enters the celestial state of absolute Samadhi, and speaks of the One and Only Lord. ਆਪਿ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੁ ਵਖਾਨਾ ॥ आपि गुपता आपि मुकता आपि आपु वखाना ॥ Aap gupṫaa aap mukṫaa aap aap vakʰaanaa. He Himself is unmanifest, and He Himself is liberated; He Himself speaks of Himself. ਨਾਨਕ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਲੁ ਜਲਹਿ ਖਟਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੨॥ नानक भ्रम भै गुण बिनासे मिलि जलु जलहि खटाना ॥४॥२॥ Naanak bʰaram bʰæ guṇ binaasé mil jal jalėh kʰataanaa. ||4||2|| O Nanak! Doubt, fear and the limitations of the three qualities are dispelled, as one merges into the Lord, like water blending with water. ||4||2||
