ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ धनासरी महला ५ ॥ Ḋʰanaasree mėhlaa 5. Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl: ਪਾਨੀ ਪਖਾ ਪੀਸਉ ਸੰਤ ਆਗੈ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਈ ॥ पानी पखा पीसउ संत आगै गुण गोविंद जसु गाई ॥ Paanee pakʰaa peesa▫o sanṫ aagæ guṇ govinḋ jas gaa▫ee. I carry the water, wave the fan, and grind the corn for the Saints; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਮਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਰੈ ਇਹੁ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ सासि सासि मनु नामु सम्हारै इहु बिस्राम निधि पाई ॥१॥ Saas saas man naam samĥaaræ ih bisraam niḋʰ paa▫ee. ||1|| With each and every breath, my mind remembers the Naam, the Name of the Lord; in this way, it finds the treasure of peace. ||1|| ਤੁਮੑ ਕਰਹੁ ਦਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਈ ॥ तुम्ह करहु दइआ मेरे साई ॥ Ṫumĥ karahu ḋa▫i▫aa méré saa▫ee. Have pity on me, O my Lord and Master. ਐਸੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਜੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ऐसी मति दीजै मेरे ठाकुर सदा सदा तुधु धिआई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Æsee maṫ ḋeejæ méré tʰaakur saḋaa saḋaa ṫuḋʰ ḋʰi▫aa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Bless me with such understanding, O my Lord and Master, so that I may forever and ever meditate on You. ||1||Pause|| ਤੁਮੑਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਮੋਹੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਛੂਟੈ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਭਰਮਾਈ ॥ तुम्हरी क्रिपा ते मोहु मानु छूटै बिनसि जाइ भरमाई ॥ Ṫumĥree kirpaa ṫé moh maan chʰootæ binas jaa▫é bʰarmaa▫ee. By Your Grace, emotional attachment and egotism are eradicated, and doubt is dispelled. ਅਨਦ ਰੂਪੁ ਰਵਿਓ ਸਭ ਮਧੇ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥ अनद रूपु रविओ सभ मधे जत कत पेखउ जाई ॥२॥ Anaḋ roop ravi▫o sabʰ maḋʰé jaṫ kaṫ pékʰa▫o jaa▫ee. ||2|| The Lord, the embodiment of bliss, is pervading and permeating in all; wherever I go, there I see Him. ||2|| ਤੁਮੑ ਦਇਆਲ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਗੋਸਾਈ ॥ तुम्ह दइआल किरपाल क्रिपा निधि पतित पावन गोसाई ॥ Ṫumĥ ḋa▫i▫aal kirpaal kirpaa niḋʰ paṫiṫ paavan gosaa▫ee. You are kind and compassionate, the treasure of mercy, the Purifier of sinners, Lord of the world. ਕੋਟਿ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਰਾਜ ਪਾਏ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਨਿਮਖ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥੩॥ कोटि सूख आनंद राज पाए मुख ते निमख बुलाई ॥३॥ Kot sookʰ aananḋ raaj paa▫é mukʰ ṫé nimakʰ bulaa▫ee. ||3|| I obtain millions of joys, comforts and kingdoms, if You inspire me to chant Your Name with my mouth, even for an instant. ||3|| ਜਾਪ ਤਾਪ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਈ ॥ जाप ताप भगति सा पूरी जो प्रभ कै मनि भाई ॥ Jaap ṫaap bʰagaṫ saa pooree jo parabʰ kæ man bʰaa▫ee. That alone is perfect chanting, meditation, penance and devotional worship service, which is pleasing to God’s Mind. ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਸਭ ਬੁਝੀ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥ नामु जपत त्रिसना सभ बुझी है नानक त्रिपति अघाई ॥४॥१०॥ Naam japaṫ ṫarisnaa sabʰ bujʰee hæ Naanak ṫaripaṫ agʰaa▫ee. ||4||10|| Chanting the Naam, all thirst and desire is satisfied; Nanak is satisfied and fulfilled. ||4||10||
