ਦਰਬਵੰਤੁ ਦਰਬੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਗਰਬੈ ਭੂਮਵੰਤੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥ दरबवंतु दरबु देखि गरबै भूमवंतु अभिमानी ॥ Ḋarabvanṫ ḋarab ḋékʰ garbæ bʰoomvanṫ abʰimaanee. The rich man gazes upon his riches, and is proud of himself; the landlord takes pride in his lands. ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ धनासरी महला ५ ॥ Ḋʰanaasree mėhlaa 5. Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl: ਰਾਜਾ ਜਾਨੈ ਸਗਲ ਰਾਜੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਟੇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥੧॥ राजा जानै सगल राजु हमरा तिउ हरि जन टेक सुआमी ॥१॥ Raajaa jaanæ sagal raaj hamraa ṫi▫o har jan ték su▫aamee. ||1|| The king believes that the whole kingdom belongs to him; in the same way, the humble servant of the Lord looks upon the support of his Lord and Master. ||1|| ਜੇ ਕੋਊ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਓਟ ਸਮਾਰੈ ॥ जे कोऊ अपुनी ओट समारै ॥ Jé ko▫oo apunee ot samaaræ. When one considers the Lord to be his only support, ਜੈਸਾ ਬਿਤੁ ਤੈਸਾ ਹੋਇ ਵਰਤੈ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਬਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जैसा बितु तैसा होइ वरतै अपुना बलु नही हारै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jæsaa biṫ ṫæsaa ho▫é varṫæ apunaa bal nahee haaræ. ||1|| rahaa▫o. then the Lord uses His power to help him; this power cannot be defeated. ||1||Pause|| ਆਨ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਭਏ ਇਕ ਆਸਰ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਕਰਿ ਆਏ ॥ आन तिआगि भए इक आसर सरणि सरणि करि आए ॥ Aan ṫi▫aag bʰa▫é ik aasar saraṇ saraṇ kar aa▫é. Renouncing all others, I have sought the Support of the One Lord; I have come to Him, pleading, “Save me, save me! ਸੰਤ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥੨॥੩॥੩੪॥ संत अनुग्रह भए मन निरमल नानक हरि गुन गाए ॥२॥३॥३४॥ Sanṫ anugrah bʰa▫é man nirmal Naanak har gun gaa▫é. ||2||3||34|| By the kindness and the Grace of the Saints, my mind has been purified; Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||3||34||
