ਬਹਤੀ ਜਾਤ ਕਦੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਧਾਰਤ ॥ बहती जात कदे द्रिसटि न धारत ॥ Bahṫee jaaṫ kaḋé ḋarisat na ḋʰaaraṫ. Your life is slipping away, but you never even notice. ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੋਹ ਬੰਧਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਪਾਰਚ ॥੧॥ मिथिआ मोह बंधहि नित पारच ॥१॥ Miṫʰi▫aa moh banḋʰėh niṫ paarach. ||1|| You are constantly entangled in false attachments and conflicts. ||1|| ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ सूही महला ५ ॥ Soohee mėhlaa 5. Soohee, Fifth Mehl: ਮਾਧਵੇ ਭਜੁ ਦਿਨ ਨਿਤ ਰੈਣੀ ॥ माधवे भजु दिन नित रैणी ॥ Maaḋʰvé bʰaj ḋin niṫ ræṇee. Meditate, vibrate constantly, day and night, on the Lord. ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जनमु पदारथु जीति हरि सरणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Janam paḋaaraṫʰ jeeṫ har sarṇee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. You shall be victorious in this priceless human life, in the Protection of the Lord’s Sanctuary. ||1||Pause|| ਕਰਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਦੋਊ ਕਰ ਝਾਰਤ ॥ करत बिकार दोऊ कर झारत ॥ Karaṫ bikaar ḋo▫oo kar jʰaaraṫ. You eagerly commit sins and practice corruption, ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਰਿਦ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਧਾਰਤ ॥੨॥ राम रतनु रिद तिलु नही धारत ॥२॥ Raam raṫan riḋ ṫil nahee ḋʰaaraṫ. ||2|| but you do not enshrine the jewel of the Lord’s Name within your heart, even for an instant. ||2|| ਭਰਣ ਪੋਖਣ ਸੰਗਿ ਅਉਧ ਬਿਹਾਣੀ ॥ भरण पोखण संगि अउध बिहाणी ॥ Bʰaraṇ pokʰaṇ sang a▫oḋʰ bihaaṇee. Feeding and pampering your body, your life is passing away, ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ सरणि समरथ अगोचर सुआमी ॥ Saraṇ samraṫʰ agochar su▫aamee. So, enter the Sanctuary of the All-powerful, Unfathomable Lord and Master. ਉਧਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੪॥੨੭॥੩੩॥ उधरु नानक प्रभ अंतरजामी ॥४॥२७॥३३॥ Uḋʰar Naanak parabʰ anṫarjaamee. ||4||27||33|| O God, O Searcher of hearts, please, save Nanak! ||4||27||33|| ਜੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੩॥ जै जगदीस की गति नही जाणी ॥३॥ Jæ jagḋees kee gaṫ nahee jaaṇee. ||3|| but you do not experience the state of victory of the Lord of the Universe. ||3||
