ਜਿਨੑੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਕੂੜੇ ਕਹਣ ਕਹੰਨੑਿ ॥ जिन्ही नामु विसारिआ कूड़े कहण कहंन्हि ॥ Jinĥee naam visaari▫aa kooṛé kahaṇ kahaⁿniĥ. Those who forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord, are said to be false. ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ सलोक मः ३ ॥ Salok mėhlaa 3. Shalok, Third Mehl: ਸਾਕਤ ਮੁਠੇ ਦੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੰਨੑਿ ॥ साकत मुठे दुरमती हरि रसु न जाणंन्हि ॥ Saakaṫ mutʰé ḋurmaṫee har ras na jaaṇaⁿniĥ. The faithless cynics are defrauded by their own evil-mindedness; they do not know the sublime essence of the Lord. ਪੰਚ ਚੋਰ ਤਿਨਾ ਘਰੁ ਮੁਹਨੑਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸੰਨੑਿ ॥ पंच चोर तिना घरु मुहन्हि हउमै अंदरि संन्हि ॥ Panch chor ṫinaa gʰar muhniĥ ha▫umæ anḋar saⁿniĥ. The five thieves plunder their homes, and egotism breaks in. ਜਿਨੑੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭਰਮਿ ਲੁਟਾਇਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਸਿਉ ਰਚਹਿ ਰਚੰਨੑਿ ॥ जिन्ही अमृतु भरमि लुटाइआ बिखु सिउ रचहि रचंन्हि ॥ Jinĥee amriṫ bʰaram lutaa▫i▫aa bikʰ si▫o rachėh rachaⁿniĥ. Those who lose the Ambrosial Nectar through doubt, remain engrossed and entangled in corruption. ਦੁਸਟਾ ਸੇਤੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਜਨ ਸਿਉ ਵਾਦੁ ਕਰੰਨੑਿ ॥ दुसटा सेती पिरहड़ी जन सिउ वादु करंन्हि ॥ Ḋustaa séṫee pir▫haṛee jan si▫o vaaḋ karaⁿniĥ. They make friends with the wicked, and argue with the humble servants of the Lord. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਕਤ ਨਰਕ ਮਹਿ ਜਮਿ ਬਧੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹੰਨੑਿ ॥ नानक साकत नरक महि जमि बधे दुख सहंन्हि ॥ Naanak saakaṫ narak mėh jam baḋʰé ḋukʰ sahaⁿniĥ. O Nanak! The faithless cynics are bound and gagged by the Messenger of Death, and suffer agony in hell. ਪਇਐ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਜਿਵ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਵੈ ਰਹੰਨੑਿ ॥੧॥ पइऐ किरति कमावदे जिव राखहि तिवै रहंन्हि ॥१॥ Pa▫i▫æ kiraṫ kamaavḋé jiv raakʰahi ṫivæ rahaⁿniĥ. ||1|| They act according to the karma of the actions they committed before; as the Lord keeps them, so do they live. ||1||
