ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਰਾਗੁ ਗੋਂਡ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਚਉਪਦੇ ਘਰੁ ੨ रागु गोंड महला ५ चउपदे घरु २ Raag gond mėhlaa 5 cha▫upḋé gʰar 2 Raag Gond, Fifth Mehl, Chau-Padas, Second House: ਮਾਟੀ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਖੀ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ॥ माटी महि जोति रखी निवाजि ॥ Maatee mėh joṫ rakʰee nivaaj. and infused His Light into the dust; ਬਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਭੋਜਨ ਭੋਗਾਇ ॥ बरतन कउ सभु किछु भोजन भोगाइ ॥ Barṫan ka▫o sabʰ kichʰ bʰojan bʰogaa▫é. He exalted you and gave you everything to use, and food to eat and enjoy - ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੀਏ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿ ॥ जीअ प्रान कीए जिनि साजि ॥ Jee▫a paraan kee▫é jin saaj. He fashioned the soul and the breath of life, ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਜਿ ਮੂੜੇ ਕਤ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ सो प्रभु तजि मूड़े कत जाइ ॥१॥ So parabʰ ṫaj mooṛé kaṫ jaa▫é. ||1|| how can you forsake that God, you fool! Where else will you go? ||1|| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਸੇਵ ॥ पारब्रहम की लागउ सेव ॥ Paarbarahm kee laaga▫o sév. Commit yourself to the service of the Transcendent Lord. ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਝੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर ते सुझै निरंजन देव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur ṫé sujʰæ niranjan ḋév. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Through the Guru, one understands the Immaculate, Divine Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਜਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ जा की गति मिति कही न जाइ ॥ Jaa kee gaṫ miṫ kahee na jaa▫é. His state and condition cannot be described. ਓਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਉ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਝਾਰ ॥ ओपति परलउ निमख मझार ॥ Opaṫ parla▫o nimakʰ majʰaar. He creates and destroys in an instant; ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਰੰਗ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥ जिनि कीए रंग अनिक परकार ॥ Jin kee▫é rang anik parkaar. He created plays and dramas of all sorts; ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥ सो प्रभु मन मेरे सदा धिआइ ॥२॥ So parabʰ man méré saḋaa ḋʰi▫aa▫é. ||2|| Meditate forever on that God, O my mind. ||2|| ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਧਨੀ ॥ आइ न जावै निहचलु धनी ॥ Aa▫é na jaavæ nihchal ḋʰanee. The unchanging Lord does not come or go. ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਨੀ ॥ बेअंत गुना ता के केतक गनी ॥ Bé▫anṫ gunaa ṫaa ké kéṫak ganee. His Glorious Virtues are infinite; how many of them can I count? ਲਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ लाल नाम जा कै भरे भंडार ॥ Laal naam jaa kæ bʰaré bʰandaar. His treasure is overflowing with the rubies of the Name. ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਧਾਰ ॥੩॥ सगल घटा देवै आधार ॥३॥ Sagal gʰataa ḋévæ aaḋʰaar. ||3|| He gives Support to all hearts. ||3|| ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਨਾਉ ॥ सति पुरखु जा को है नाउ ॥ Saṫ purakʰ jaa ko hæ naa▫o. The Name is the True Primal Being; ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਘ ਨਿਮਖ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਉ ॥ मिटहि कोटि अघ निमख जसु गाउ ॥ Mitėh kot agʰ nimakʰ jas gaa▫o. millions of sins are washed away in an instant, singing His Praises. ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਿਤ ਚੀਤ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥ प्रान अधार नानक हित चीत ॥४॥१॥३॥ Paraan aḋʰaar Naanak hiṫ cheeṫ. ||4||1||3|| He is the Support of the breath of life; O Nanak! He is love, He is consciousness. ||4||1||3|| ਬਾਲ ਸਖਾਈ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ॥ बाल सखाई भगतन को मीत ॥ Baal sakʰaa▫ee bʰagṫan ko meeṫ. The Lord God is your best friend, your playmate from earliest childhood.
