ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ॥ हरि हरि नामु जपहु मेरे मीत ॥ Har har naam japahu méré meeṫ. Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my friend. ਗੋਂਡ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गोंड महला ५ ॥ Gond mėhlaa 5. Gond, Fifth Mehl: ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ ਤੁਮੑਾਰਾ ਚੀਤ ॥ निरमल होइ तुम्हारा चीत ॥ Nirmal ho▫é ṫumĥaaraa cheeṫ. Your consciousness shall become immaculate and pure. ਮਨ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਮਿਟੈ ਬਲਾਇ ॥ मन तन की सभ मिटै बलाइ ॥ Man ṫan kee sabʰ mitæ balaa▫é. All the misfortunes of your mind and body shall be taken away, ਦੂਖੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਸਗਲਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ दूखु अंधेरा सगला जाइ ॥१॥ Ḋookʰ anḋʰéraa saglaa jaa▫é. ||1|| and all your pain and darkness will be dispelled. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਤਰੀਐ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ हरि गुण गावत तरीऐ संसारु ॥ Har guṇ gaavaṫ ṫaree▫æ sansaar. Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, cross over the world-ocean. ਵਡ ਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ वड भागी पाईऐ पुरखु अपारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ vad bʰaagee paa▫ee▫æ purakʰ apaar. ||1|| rahaa▫o. By great good fortune, one attains the Infinite Lord, the Primal Being. ||1||Pause|| ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥ जो जनु करै कीरतनु गोपाल ॥ Jo jan karæ keerṫan gopaal. One who sings the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises, ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਪੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ॥ तिस कउ पोहि न सकै जमकालु ॥ Ṫis ka▫o pohi na sakæ jamkaal. the Messenger of Death cannot even touch that humble being. ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ जग महि आइआ सो परवाणु ॥ Jag mėh aa▫i▫aa so parvaaṇ. His coming into this world is approved, ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਪਛਾਣੁ ॥੨॥ गुरमुखि अपना खसमु पछाणु ॥२॥ Gurmukʰ apnaa kʰasam pachʰaaṇ. ||2|| as the Gurmukh realizes his Lord and Master. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ हरि गुण गावै संत प्रसादि ॥ Har guṇ gaavæ sanṫ parsaaḋ. He sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, by the Grace of the Saints; ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਉਨਮਾਦ ॥ काम क्रोध मिटहि उनमाद ॥ Kaam kroḋʰ mitėh unmaaḋ. his sexual desire, anger and madness are eradicated. ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਜਾਣੁ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥ सदा हजूरि जाणु भगवंत ॥ Saḋaa hajoor jaaṇ bʰagvanṫ. He knows the Lord God to be ever-present. ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰ ॥ मिलि सतिगुर सभि काज सवार ॥ Mil saṫgur sabʰ kaaj savaar. Meeting with the True Guru, all his affairs are resolved. ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਾਗਾ ॥ हरि के नाम रंग संगि जागा ॥ Har ké naam rang sang jaagaa. He is awake and aware in the Love of the Lord’s Name; ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਾਟਿ ਕੀਏ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ हरि धनु खाटि कीए भंडार ॥ Har ḋʰan kʰaat kee▫é bʰandaar. He earns the treasure of the Lord’s wealth. ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਮੰਤ ॥੩॥ पूरे गुर का पूरन मंत ॥३॥ Pooré gur kaa pooran manṫ. ||3|| This is the Perfect Teaching of the Perfect Guru. ||3|| ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੧੬॥ हरि चरणी नानक मनु लागा ॥४॥१४॥१६॥ Har charṇee Naanak man laagaa. ||4||14||16|| O Nanak! His mind is attached to the Lord’s Feet. ||4||14||16||
