ਗੋਂਡ ॥ गोंड ॥ Gond. Gond: ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰੇ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ ग्रिहि सोभा जा कै रे नाहि ॥ Garihi sobʰaa jaa kæ ré naahi. When someone’s household has no glory, ਆਵਤ ਪਹੀਆ ਖੂਧੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ आवत पहीआ खूधे जाहि ॥ Aavaṫ pahee▫aa kʰooḋʰé jaahi. the guests who come there depart still hungry. ਵਾ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ॥ वा कै अंतरि नही संतोखु ॥ vaa kæ anṫar nahee sanṫokʰ. Deep within, there is no contentment. ਬਿਨੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੋਖੁ ॥੧॥ बिनु सोहागनि लागै दोखु ॥१॥ Bin sohaagan laagæ ḋokʰ. ||1|| Without his bride, the wealth of Maya, he suffers in pain. ||1|| ਧਨੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਮਹਾ ਪਵੀਤ ॥ धनु सोहागनि महा पवीत ॥ Ḋʰan sohaagan mahaa paveeṫ. So, praise this bride the chaste of all, ਤਪੇ ਤਪੀਸਰ ਡੋਲੈ ਚੀਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तपे तपीसर डोलै चीत ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫapé ṫapeesar dolæ cheeṫ. ||1|| rahaa▫o. who can shake the consciousness of even the most dedicated ascetics and sages. ||1||Pause|| ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕੀ ਪੂਤੀ ॥ सोहागनि किरपन की पूती ॥ Sohaagan kirpan kee pooṫee. This bride is the daughter of a wretched miser. ਸੇਵਕ ਤਜਿ ਜਗਤ ਸਿਉ ਸੂਤੀ ॥ सेवक तजि जगत सिउ सूती ॥ Sévak ṫaj jagaṫ si▫o sooṫee. Abandoning the Lord’s servant, she sleeps with the world. ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਠਾਢੀ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥ साधू कै ठाढी दरबारि ॥ Saaḋʰoo kæ tʰaadʰee ḋarbaar. Standing at the door of the holy man, ਸਰਨਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ सरनि तेरी मो कउ निसतारि ॥२॥ Saran ṫéree mo ka▫o nisṫaar. ||2|| she says, “I have come to your sanctuary; now save me!”||2|| ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਹੈ ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ॥ सोहागनि है अति सुंदरी ॥ Sohaagan hæ aṫ sunḋree. This bride is so beautiful. ਪਗ ਨੇਵਰ ਛਨਕ ਛਨਹਰੀ ॥ पग नेवर छनक छनहरी ॥ Pag névar chʰanak chʰanharee. The bells on her ankles make soft music. ਜਉ ਲਗੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਤਊ ਲਗੁ ਸੰਗੇ ॥ जउ लगु प्रान तऊ लगु संगे ॥ Ja▫o lag paraan ṫa▫oo lag sangé. As long as there is the breath of life in the man, she remains attached to him. ਨਾਹਿ ਤ ਚਲੀ ਬੇਗਿ ਉਠਿ ਨੰਗੇ ॥੩॥ नाहि त चली बेगि उठि नंगे ॥३॥ Naahi ṫa chalee bég utʰ nangé. ||3|| But when it is no more, she quickly gets up and departs, bare-footed. ||3|| ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਭਵਨ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਲੀਆ ॥ सोहागनि भवन त्रै लीआ ॥ Sohaagan bʰavan ṫaræ lee▫aa. This bride has conquered the three worlds. ਦਸ ਅਠ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਤੀਰਥ ਰਸ ਕੀਆ ॥ दस अठ पुराण तीरथ रस कीआ ॥ Ḋas atʰ puraaṇ ṫiraṫʰ ras kee▫aa. The eighteen Puranas and the sacred shrines of pilgrimage love her as well. ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸਰ ਬੇਧੇ ॥ ब्रहमा बिसनु महेसर बेधे ॥ Barahmaa bisan mahésar béḋʰé. She pierced the hearts of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. ਬਡੇ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੈ ਛੇਧੇ ॥੪॥ बडे भूपति राजे है छेधे ॥४॥ Badé bʰoopaṫ raajé hæ chʰéḋʰé. ||4|| She destroyed the great emperors and kings of the world. ||4|| ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਉਰਵਾਰਿ ਨ ਪਾਰਿ ॥ सोहागनि उरवारि न पारि ॥ Sohaagan urvaar na paar. This bride has no restraint or limits. ਪਾਂਚ ਨਾਰਦ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਧਵਾਰਿ ॥ पांच नारद कै संगि बिधवारि ॥ Paaⁿch naaraḋ kæ sang biḋʰvaar. She is in collusion with the five thieving passions. ਪਾਂਚ ਨਾਰਦ ਕੇ ਮਿਟਵੇ ਫੂਟੇ ॥ पांच नारद के मिटवे फूटे ॥ Paaⁿch naaraḋ ké mitvé footé. When the clay pot of these five passions bursts, ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਛੂਟੇ ॥੫॥੫॥੮॥ कहु कबीर गुर किरपा छूटे ॥५॥५॥८॥ Kaho Kabeer gur kirpaa chʰooté. ||5||5||8|| then, says Kabir, by Guru’s Mercy, one is released. ||5||5||8||
