ਰਾਮ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨੀਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥ राम जना मिलि भइआ अनंदा हरि नीकी कथा सुनाइ ॥ Raam janaa mil bʰa▫i▫aa ananḋaa har neekee kaṫʰaa sunaa▫é. Meeting with the humble servants of the Lord, I am in ecstasy; they preach the sublime sermon of the Lord. ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ रामकली महला ४ ॥ Raamkalee mėhlaa 4. Raamkalee, Fourth Mehl: ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਨੀਕਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ दुरमति मैलु गई सभ नीकलि सतसंगति मिलि बुधि पाइ ॥१॥ Ḋurmaṫ mæl ga▫ee sabʰ neekal saṫsangaṫ mil buḋʰ paa▫é. ||1|| The filth of evil-mindedness is totally washed away; joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, one is blessed with understanding. ||1|| ਰਾਮ ਜਨ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਬੋਲਾਇ ॥ राम जन गुरमति रामु बोलाइ ॥ Raam jan gurmaṫ raam bolaa▫é. O humble servant of the Lord, follow the Guru’s Teachings, and chant the Name of the Lord. ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੁਣੈ ਕਹੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਜਪਤ ਸੋਹਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जो जो सुणै कहै सो मुकता राम जपत सोहाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jo jo suṇæ kahæ so mukṫaa raam japaṫ sohaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Whoever hears and speaks it is liberated; chanting the Lord’s Name, one is embellished with beauty. ||1||Pause|| ਜੇ ਵਡ ਭਾਗ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਜਨਾ ਭੇਟਾਇ ॥ जे वड भाग होवहि मुखि मसतकि हरि राम जना भेटाइ ॥ Jé vad bʰaag hovėh mukʰ masṫak har raam janaa bʰétaa▫é. If someone has supremely high destiny written on his forehead, the Lord leads him to meet the humble servants of the Lord. ਦਰਸਨੁ ਸੰਤ ਦੇਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਭੁ ਦਾਲਦੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ दरसनु संत देहु करि किरपा सभु दालदु दुखु लहि जाइ ॥२॥ Ḋarsan sanṫ ḋéh kar kirpaa sabʰ ḋaalaḋ ḋukʰ lėh jaa▫é. ||2|| Be merciful, and grant me the Blessed Vision of the Saints’ Darshan, which shall rid me of all poverty and pain. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਗ ਰਾਮ ਜਨ ਨੀਕੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਨ ਸੁਖਾਇ ॥ हरि के लोग राम जन नीके भागहीण न सुखाइ ॥ Har ké log raam jan neeké bʰaagheeṇ na sukʰaa▫é. The Lord’s people are good and sublime; the unfortunate ones do not like them at all. ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਰਾਮ ਕਹਹਿ ਜਨ ਊਚੇ ਨਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਡੰਸੁ ਲਗਾਇ ॥੩॥ जिउ जिउ राम कहहि जन ऊचे नर निंदक डंसु लगाइ ॥३॥ Ji▫o ji▫o raam kahėh jan ooché nar ninḋak dans lagaa▫é. ||3|| The more the Lord’s exalted servants speak of Him, the more the slanderers attack and sting them. ||3|| ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਨਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਜਿਨ ਜਨ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸਖਾ ਸਖਾਇ ॥ ध्रिगु ध्रिगु नर निंदक जिन जन नही भाए हरि के सखा सखाइ ॥ Ḋʰarig ḋʰarig nar ninḋak jin jan nahee bʰaa▫é har ké sakʰaa sakʰaa▫é. Cursed, cursed are the slanderers who do not like the humble, the friends and companions of the Lord. ਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚੋਰ ਵੇਮੁਖ ਮੁਖ ਕਾਲੇ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਨ ਭਾਇ ॥੪॥ से हरि के चोर वेमुख मुख काले जिन गुर की पैज न भाइ ॥४॥ Sé har ké chor væmukʰ mukʰ kaalé jin gur kee pæj na bʰaa▫é. ||4|| Those who do not like the honor and glory of the Guru are faithless, black-faced thieves, who have turned their backs on the Lord. ||4|| ਦਇਆ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਹਮ ਦੀਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥ दइआ दइआ करि राखहु हरि जीउ हम दीन तेरी सरणाइ ॥ Ḋa▫i▫aa ḋa▫i▫aa kar raakʰo har jee▫o ham ḋeen ṫéree sarṇaa▫é. Have mercy, have mercy, please save me, Dear Lord. I am meek and humble - I seek Your protection. ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੁਮ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੫॥੨॥ हम बारिक तुम पिता प्रभ मेरे जन नानक बखसि मिलाइ ॥५॥२॥ Ham baarik ṫum piṫaa parabʰ méré jan Naanak bakʰas milaa▫é. ||5||2|| I am Your child, and You are my father, God. Please forgive servant Nanak and merge him with Yourself. ||5||2||
