ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ रामकली महला ५ ॥ Raamkalee mėhlaa 5. Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl: ਬੀਜ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥ बीज मंत्रु हरि कीरतनु गाउ ॥ Beej manṫar har keerṫan gaa▫o. Sing the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises, and the Beej Mantra, the Seed Mantra. ਆਗੈ ਮਿਲੀ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥ आगै मिली निथावे थाउ ॥ Aagæ milee niṫʰaavé ṫʰaa▫o. Even the homeless find a home in the world hereafter. ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੁ ॥ गुर पूरे की चरणी लागु ॥ Gur pooré kee charṇee laag. Fall at the feet of the Perfect Guru; ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੁ ॥੧॥ जनम जनम का सोइआ जागु ॥१॥ Janam janam kaa so▫i▫aa jaag. ||1|| you have slept for so many incarnations - wake up! ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੁ ਜਪਲਾ ॥ हरि हरि जापु जपला ॥ Har har jaap japlaa. Chant the Chant of the Lord’s Name, Har, Har. ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਾਸੈ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर किरपा ते हिरदै वासै भउजलु पारि परला ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur kirpaa ṫé hirḋæ vaasæ bʰa▫ojal paar parlaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o. By Guru’s Grace, it shall be enshrined within your heart, and you shall cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause|| ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਨ ਅਟਲ ॥ नामु निधानु धिआइ मन अटल ॥ Naam niḋʰaan ḋʰi▫aa▫é man atal. Meditate on the eternal treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O mind, ਤਾ ਛੂਟਹਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਪਟਲ ॥ ता छूटहि माइआ के पटल ॥ Ṫaa chʰootėh maa▫i▫aa ké patal. and then, the screen of Maya shall be torn away. ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਉ ॥ गुर का सबदु अमृत रसु पीउ ॥ Gur kaa sabaḋ amriṫ ras pee▫o. drink the Ambrosial Nectar of the Guru’s Shabad, ਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ता तेरा होइ निरमल जीउ ॥२॥ Ṫaa ṫéraa ho▫é nirmal jee▫o. ||2|| and then your soul shall be rendered immaculate and pure. ||2|| ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥ सोधत सोधत सोधि बीचारा ॥ Soḋʰaṫ soḋʰaṫ soḋʰ beechaaraa. Searching, searching, searching, I have realized ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ॥ बिनु हरि भगति नही छुटकारा ॥ Bin har bʰagaṫ nahee chʰutkaaraa. that without devotional worship of the Lord, no one is saved. ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥ सो हरि भजनु साध कै संगि ॥ So har bʰajan saaḋʰ kæ sang. So, vibrate, and meditate on that Lord in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੩॥ मनु तनु रापै हरि कै रंगि ॥३॥ Man ṫan raapæ har kæ rang. ||3|| your mind and body shall be imbued with love for the Lord. ||3|| ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਬਹੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥ छोडि सिआणप बहु चतुराई ॥ Chʰod si▫aaṇap baho chaṫuraa▫ee. Renounce all your cleverness and trickery. ਮਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥ मन बिनु हरि नावै जाइ न काई ॥ Man bin har naavæ jaa▫é na kaa▫ee. O mind, without the Lord’s Name, there is no place of rest. ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਗੋੁਸਾਈ ॥ दइआ धारी गोविद गुोसाई ॥ Ḋa▫i▫aa ḋʰaaree goviḋ gosaa▫ee. The Lord of the Universe, the Lord of the World, has taken pity on me. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਟੇਕ ਟਿਕਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੭॥ हरि हरि नानक टेक टिकाई ॥४॥१६॥२७॥ Har har Naanak ték tikaa▫ee. ||4||16||27|| Nanak seeks the protection and support of the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||16||27||
