ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ हरि गुर गिआनु हरि रसु हरि पाइआ ॥ Har gur gi▫aan har ras har paa▫i▫aa. Through the Guru, I have obtained the Lord’s spiritual wisdom. I have obtained the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ माझ महला ४ ॥ Maajʰ mėhlaa 4. Maajh, Fourth Mehl: ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਟੁਲਿ ਟੁਲਿ ਪਉਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ हरि हरि नामु मुखि हरि हरि बोली मनु हरि रसि टुलि टुलि पउदा जीउ ॥१॥ Har har naam mukʰ har har bolee man har ras tul tul pa▫uḋaa jee▫o. ||1|| With my mouth, I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; my mind is filled to overflowing with the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ||1|| ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆਇਆ ॥ मनु हरि रंगि राता हरि रसु पीआइआ ॥ Man har rang raaṫaa har ras pee▫aa▫i▫aa. My mind is imbued with the Love of the Lord; I drink the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮੈ ਗਲਿ ਮੇਲਾਈਐ ॥ आवहु संत मै गलि मेलाईऐ ॥ Aavhu sanṫ mæ gal mélaa▫ee▫æ. Come, O Saints, and lead me to my Lord’s Embrace. ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕੀ ਮੈ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਾਈਐ ॥ मेरे प्रीतम की मै कथा सुणाईऐ ॥ Méré pareeṫam kee mæ kaṫʰaa suṇaa▫ee▫æ. Recite to me the Sermon of my Beloved. ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਚਉਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ हरि के संत मिलहु मनु देवा जो गुरबाणी मुखि चउदा जीउ ॥२॥ Har ké sanṫ milhu man ḋévaa jo gurbaaṇee mukʰ cha▫uḋaa jee▫o. ||2|| I dedicate my mind to those Saints of the Lord, who chant the Word of the Guru’s Bani with their mouths. ||2|| ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥ वडभागी हरि संतु मिलाइआ ॥ vadbʰaagee har sanṫ milaa▫i▫aa. By great good fortune, the Lord has led me to meet His Saint. ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ गुरि पूरै हरि रसु मुखि पाइआ ॥ Gur pooræ har ras mukʰ paa▫i▫aa. The Perfect Guru has placed the Sublime Essence of the Lord into my mouth. ਭਾਗਹੀਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਗਰਭ ਜੂਨੀ ਨਿਤਿ ਪਉਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ भागहीन सतिगुरु नही पाइआ मनमुखु गरभ जूनी निति पउदा जीउ ॥३॥ Bʰaagheen saṫgur nahee paa▫i▫aa manmukʰ garabʰ joonee niṫ pa▫uḋaa jee▫o. ||3|| The unfortunate ones do not find the True Guru; the self-willed Manmukhs continually endure reincarnation through the womb. ||3|| ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲਿ ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ आपि दइआलि दइआ प्रभि धारी ॥ Aap ḋa▫i▫aal ḋa▫i▫aa parabʰ ḋʰaaree. God, the Merciful, has Himself bestowed His Mercy. ਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਭ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥ मलु हउमै बिखिआ सभ निवारी ॥ Mal ha▫umæ bikʰi▫aa sabʰ nivaaree. He has totally removed the poisonous pollution of egotism. ਹਉ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥ हउ गुण गोविंद हरि नामु धिआई ॥ Ha▫o guṇ govinḋ har naam ḋʰi▫aa▫ee. I meditate on the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and the Name of the Lord.
