ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ महला ५ ॥ Mėhlaa 5. Fifth Mehl: ਕਬੀਰ ਚਾਵਲ ਕਾਰਣੇ ਤੁਖ ਕਉ ਮੁਹਲੀ ਲਾਇ ॥ कबीर चावल कारणे तुख कउ मुहली लाइ ॥ Kabeer chaaval kaarṇé ṫukʰ ka▫o muhlee laa▫é. Kabir! For the sake of the rice, the husks are beaten and threshed. ਸੰਗਿ ਕੁਸੰਗੀ ਬੈਸਤੇ ਤਬ ਪੂਛੇ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ॥੨॥ संगि कुसंगी बैसते तब पूछे धरम राइ ॥२॥ Sang kusangee bæsṫé ṫab poochʰé ḋʰaram raa▫é. ||2|| When one sits in the company of evil people, then he will be called to account by the Righteous Judge of Dharma. ||2||
