ਅਉਖਧ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੂਲ ਮਨ ਏਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥
अउखध मंत्र मूल मन एकै मनि बिस्वासु प्रभ धारिआ ॥
A▫ukʰaḋʰ manṫar mool man ékæ man bisvaas parabʰ ḋʰaari▫aa.
The Mul Mantra, the Root Mantra, is the only cure for the mind; I have installed faith in God in my mind.

ਚਰਨ ਰੇਨ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪੁਨਹ ਪੁਨਹ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥੧੬॥
चरन रेन बांछै नित नानकु पुनह पुनह बलिहारिआ ॥२॥१६॥
Charan rén baaⁿchʰæ niṫ Naanak punah punah balihaari▫aa. ||2||16||
Nanak ever longs for the dust of the Lord’s feet; again and again, he is a sacrifice to the Lord. ||2||16||

ਮੇਰਾ ਲਾਗੋ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਹੇਤੁ ॥
मेरा लागो राम सिउ हेतु ॥
Méraa laago raam si▫o héṫ.
I have fallen in love with the Lord.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਜਿਨਿ ਦੁਖ ਕਾ ਕਾਟਿਆ ਕੇਤੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सतिगुरु मेरा सदा सहाई जिनि दुख का काटिआ केतु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Saṫgur méraa saḋaa sahaa▫ee jin ḋukʰ kaa kaati▫aa kéṫ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
My True Guru is always my help and support; He has torn down the banner of pain. ||1||Pause||

ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥
हाथ देइ राखिओ अपुना करि बिरथा सगल मिटाई ॥
Haaṫʰ ḋé▫é raakʰi▫o apunaa kar birṫʰaa sagal mitaa▫ee.
Giving me His hand, He has protected me as His own, and removed all my troubles.

ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਕਾਲੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
निंदक के मुख काले कीने जन का आपि सहाई ॥१॥
Ninḋak ké mukʰ kaalé keené jan kaa aap sahaa▫ee. ||1||
He has blackened the faces of the slanderers, and He Himself has become the help and support of His humble servant. ||1||
|
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
साचा साहिबु होआ रखवाला राखि लीए कंठि लाइ ॥
Saachaa saahib ho▫aa rakʰvaalaa raakʰ lee▫é kantʰ laa▫é.
The True Lord and Master has become my Saviour; hugging me close in His embrace, He has saved me.

ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੨॥੧੭॥
निरभउ भए सदा सुख माणे नानक हरि गुण गाइ ॥२॥१७॥
Nirbʰa▫o bʰa▫é saḋaa sukʰ maaṇé Naanak har guṇ gaa▫é. ||2||17||
Nanak has become fearless, and he enjoys eternal peace, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||17||

ਅਉਖਧੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
अउखधु तेरो नामु दइआल ॥
A▫ukʰaḋʰ ṫéro naam ḋa▫i▫aal.
Your Name is the medicine, O Merciful Lord.

ਮੋਹਿ ਆਤੁਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
मोहि आतुर तेरी गति नही जानी तूं आपि करहि प्रतिपाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mohi aaṫur ṫéree gaṫ nahee jaanee ṫooⁿ aap karahi parṫipaal. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
I am so miserable, I do not know Your state; You Yourself cherish me, Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਭਾਉ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥
धारि अनुग्रहु सुआमी मेरे दुतीआ भाउ निवारि ॥
Ḋʰaar anoograhu su▫aamee méré ḋuṫee▫aa bʰaa▫o nivaar.
Take pity on me, O my Lord and Master, and remove the love of duality from within me.

ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਆਵਹ ਹਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
बंधन काटि लेहु अपुने करि कबहू न आवह हारि ॥१॥
Banḋʰan kaat lého apuné kar kabhoo na aavah haar. ||1||
Break my bonds, and take me as Your own, so that I may never come to lose. ||1||
|
ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਇਆ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
तेरी सरनि पइआ हउ जीवां तूं संम्रथु पुरखु मिहरवानु ॥
Ṫéree saran pa▫i▫aa ha▫o jeevaaⁿ ṫooⁿ samraṫʰ purakʰ miharvaan.
Seeking Your Sanctuary, I live, almighty and merciful Lord and Master.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ॥੨॥੧੮॥
आठ पहर प्रभ कउ आराधी नानक सद कुरबानु ॥२॥१८॥
Aatʰ pahar parabʰ ka▫o aaraaḋʰee Naanak saḋ kurbaan. ||2||18||
Twenty-four hours a day, I worship God; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to Him. ||2||18||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਹਾ ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥
हा हा प्रभ राखि लेहु ॥
Haa haa parabʰ raakʰ lého.
O God, please save me!

ਹਮ ਤੇ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हम ते किछू न होइ मेरे स्वामी करि किरपा अपुना नामु देहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ham ṫé kichʰoo na ho▫é méré savaamee kar kirpaa apunaa naam ḋéh. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
By myself, I cannot do anything, O my Lord and Master; by Your Grace, please bless me with Your Name. ||1||Pause||

ਅਗਨਿ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥
अगनि कुट्मब सागर संसार ॥
Agan kutamb saagar sansaar.
Family and worldly affairs are an ocean of fire.
|
ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧਾਰ ॥੧॥
भरम मोह अगिआन अंधार ॥१॥
Bʰaram moh agi▫aan anḋʰaar. ||1||
Through doubt, emotional attachment and ignorance, we are enveloped in darkness. ||1||
|
ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ॥
ऊच नीच सूख दूख ॥
Ooch neech sookʰ ḋookʰ.
High and low, pleasure and pain.
|
ਧ੍ਰਾਪਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੂਖ ॥੨॥
ध्रापसि नाही त्रिसना भूख ॥२॥
Ḋʰaraapas naahee ṫarisnaa bʰookʰ. ||2||
Hunger and thirst are not satisfied. ||2||
|
ਮਨਿ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਰਚਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਆਧਿ ॥
मनि बासना रचि बिखै बिआधि ॥
Man baasnaa rach bikʰæ bi▫aaḋʰ.
The mind is engrossed in passion, and the disease of corruption.

ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਾ ਅਸਾਧ ॥੩॥
पंच दूत संगि महा असाध ॥३॥
Panch ḋooṫ sang mahaa asaaḋʰ. ||3||
The five thieves, the companions, are totally incorrigible. ||3||
|
ਜੀਅ ਜਹਾਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
जीअ जहानु प्रान धनु तेरा ॥
Jee▫a jahaan paraan ḋʰan ṫéraa.
The beings and souls and wealth of the world are all Yours.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੯॥
नानक जानु सदा हरि नेरा ॥४॥१॥१९॥
Naanak jaan saḋaa har néraa. ||4||1||19||
O Nanak! Know that the Lord is always near at hand. ||4||1||19||

ਦੀਨ ਦਰਦ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਰਾਖੈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਆਪਿ ॥
दीन दरद निवारि ठाकुर राखै जन की आपि ॥
Ḋeen ḋaraḋ nivaar tʰaakur raakʰæ jan kee aap.
The Lord and Master destroys the pain of the poor; He preserves and protects the honor of His servants.
|
ਤਰਣ ਤਾਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਧਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਬਿਆਪਿ ॥੧॥
तरण तारण हरि निधि दूखु न सकै बिआपि ॥१॥
Ṫaraṇ ṫaaraṇ har niḋʰ ḋookʰ na sakæ bi▫aap. ||1||
The Lord is the ship to carry us across; He is the treasure of virtue - pain cannot touch Him. ||1||
|
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਜਹੁ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥
साधू संगि भजहु गुपाल ॥
Saaḋʰoo sang bʰajahu gupaal.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord of the world.

ਆਨ ਸੰਜਮ ਕਿਛੁ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਇਹ ਜਤਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਲਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
आन संजम किछु न सूझै इह जतन काटि कलि काल ॥ रहाउ ॥
Aan sanjam kichʰ na soojʰæ ih jaṫan kaat kal kaal. Rahaa▫o.
I cannot think of any other way; make this effort, and make it in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ||Pause||
|
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
आदि अंति दइआल पूरन तिसु बिना नही कोइ ॥
Aaḋ anṫ ḋa▫i▫aal pooran ṫis binaa nahee ko▫é.
In the beginning, and in the end, there is none other than the perfect, merciful Lord.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
जनम मरण निवारि हरि जपि सिमरि सुआमी सोइ ॥२॥
Janam maraṇ nivaar har jap simar su▫aamee so▫é. ||2||
The cycle of birth and death is ended, chanting the Lord’s Name, and remembering the Lord Master in meditation. ||2||
|
ਬੇਦ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਕਥੈ ਸਾਸਤ ਭਗਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
बेद सिंम्रिति कथै सासत भगत करहि बीचारु ॥
Béḋ simriṫ kaṫʰæ saasaṫ bʰagaṫ karahi beechaar.
The Vedas, the Smritis, the Shastras and the Lord’s devotees contemplate Him;

ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅੰਧਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
मुकति पाईऐ साधसंगति बिनसि जाइ अंधारु ॥३॥
Mukaṫ paa▫ee▫æ saaḋʰsangaṫ binas jaa▫é anḋʰaar. ||3||
liberation is attained in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and the darkness of ignorance is dispelled. ||3||
|
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਸਿ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਏਕ ॥
चरन कमल अधारु जन का रासि पूंजी एक ॥
Charan kamal aḋʰaar jan kaa raas poonjee ék.
The lotus feet of the Lord are the support of His humble servants. They are his only capital and investment.
