ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਗਾਈਐ ਆਤਮ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
ठाकुरु गाईऐ आतम रंगि ॥
Tʰaakur gaa▫ee▫æ aaṫam rang.
Sing the Praises of the Lord and Master, with the love of your soul.

ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਵਨ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਨ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सरणी पावन नाम धिआवन सहजि समावन संगि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sarṇee paavan naam ḋʰi▫aavan sahj samaavan sang. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Those who seek His Sanctuary, and meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, are blended with the Lord in celestial peace. ||1||Pause||

ਜਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਵਸਹਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਦੇਹੀ ॥
जन के चरन वसहि मेरै हीअरै संगि पुनीता देही ॥
Jan ké charan vasėh méræ hee▫aræ sang puneeṫaa ḋéhee.
The feet of the Lord’s humble servant abide in my heart; with them, my body is made pure.

ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਏਹੀ ॥੨॥੪॥੩੫॥
जन की धूरि देहु किरपा निधि नानक कै सुखु एही ॥२॥४॥३५॥
Jan kee ḋʰoor ḋéh kirpaa niḋʰ Naanak kæ sukʰ éhee. ||2||4||35||
O treasure of mercy, please bless Nanak with the dust of the feet of Your humble servants; this alone brings peace. ||2||4||35||

ਜਤਨ ਕਰੈ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਡਹਕਾਵੈ ਓਹੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
जतन करै मानुख डहकावै ओहु अंतरजामी जानै ॥
Jaṫan karæ maanukʰ dėhkaavæ oh anṫarjaamee jaanæ.
People try to deceive others, but the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, knows everything.

ਪਾਪ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਮੂਕਰਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਭੇਖ ਕਰੈ ਨਿਰਬਾਨੈ ॥੧॥
पाप करे करि मूकरि पावै भेख करै निरबानै ॥१॥
Paap karé kar mookar paavæ bʰékʰ karæ nirbaanæ. ||1||
They commit sins, and then deny them, while they pretend to be in Nirvana. ||1||
|
ਜਾਨਤ ਦੂਰਿ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨੇਰਿ ॥
जानत दूरि तुमहि प्रभ नेरि ॥
Jaanaṫ ḋoor ṫumėh parabʰ nér.
They believe that You are far away, but You, O God, are near at hand.

ਉਤ ਤਾਕੈ ਉਤ ਤੇ ਉਤ ਪੇਖੈ ਆਵੈ ਲੋਭੀ ਫੇਰਿ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
उत ताकै उत ते उत पेखै आवै लोभी फेरि ॥ रहाउ ॥
Uṫ ṫaakæ uṫ ṫé uṫ pékʰæ aavæ lobʰee fér. Rahaa▫o.
Looking around, this way and that, the greedy people come and go. ||Pause||

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਤੁਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨ ਭਰਮਾ ਤਬ ਲਗੁ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
जब लगु तुटै नाही मन भरमा तब लगु मुकतु न कोई ॥
Jab lag ṫutæ naahee man bʰarmaa ṫab lag mukaṫ na ko▫ee.
As long as the doubts of the mind are not removed, liberation is not found.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੰਤੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥੫॥੩੬॥
कहु नानक दइआल सुआमी संतु भगतु जनु सोई ॥२॥५॥३६॥
Kaho Naanak ḋa▫i▫aal su▫aamee sanṫ bʰagaṫ jan so▫ee. ||2||5||36||
Says Nanak, he alone is a Saint, a devotee, and a humble servant of the Lord, to whom the Lord and Master is merciful. ||2||5||36||

ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਹੈ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਰਮਾ ॥
नामु गुरि दीओ है अपुनै जा कै मसतकि करमा ॥
Naam gur ḋee▫o hæ apunæ jaa kæ masṫak karmaa.
My Guru gives the Naam, the Name of the Lord, to those who have such karma written on their foreheads.

ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਧਰਮਾ ॥੧॥
नामु द्रिड़ावै नामु जपावै ता का जुग महि धरमा ॥१॥
Naam ḋariṛ▫aavæ naam japaavæ ṫaa kaa jug mėh ḋʰarmaa. ||1||
He implants the Naam, and inspires us to chant the Naam; this is Dharma, true religion, in this world. ||1||
|
ਜਨ ਕਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਸੋਭ ॥
जन कउ नामु वडाई सोभ ॥
Jan ka▫o naam vadaa▫ee sobʰ.
The Naam is the glory and greatness of the Lord’s humble servant.

ਨਾਮੋ ਗਤਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਪਤਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਮਾਨੈ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਹੋਗ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
नामो गति नामो पति जन की मानै जो जो होग ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Naamo gaṫ naamo paṫ jan kee maanæ jo jo hog. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
The Naam is his salvation, and the Naam is his honor; he accepts whatever comes to pass. ||1||Pause||
|
ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਲੈ ਸੋਈ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਹਾ ॥
नाम धनु जिसु जन कै पालै सोई पूरा साहा ॥
Naam ḋʰan jis jan kæ paalæ so▫ee pooraa saahaa.
That humble servant, who has the Naam as his wealth, is the perfect banker.

ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਧਾਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੭॥
नामु बिउहारा नानक आधारा नामु परापति लाहा ॥२॥६॥३७॥
Naam bi▫uhaaraa Naanak aaḋʰaaraa naam paraapaṫ laahaa. ||2||6||37||
The Naam is his occupation, O Nanak! And his only support; the Naam is the profit he earns. ||2||6||37||

ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਏ ਦਰਸ ਪੇਖੇ ਮਾਥੈ ਪਰਉ ਰਵਾਲ ॥
नेत्र पुनीत भए दरस पेखे माथै परउ रवाल ॥
Néṫar puneeṫ bʰa▫é ḋaras pékʰé maaṫʰæ para▫o ravaal.
My eyes have been purified, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan, and touching my forehead to the dust of His feet.

ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਉ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਮੋਰੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਬਸਹੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥੧॥
रसि रसि गुण गावउ ठाकुर के मोरै हिरदै बसहु गोपाल ॥१॥
Ras ras guṇ gaava▫o tʰaakur ké moræ hirḋæ bashu gopaal. ||1||
With joy and happiness, I sing the Glorious Praises of my Lord and Master; the Lord of the World abides within my heart. ||1||
|
ਤੁਮ ਤਉ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
तुम तउ राखनहार दइआल ॥
Ṫum ṫa▫o raakʰanhaar ḋa▫i▫aal.
You are my Merciful Protector, Lord.

ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਘਰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੋਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सुंदर सुघर बेअंत पिता प्रभ होहु प्रभू किरपाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sunḋar sugʰar bé▫anṫ piṫaa parabʰ hohu parabʰoo kirpaal. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
O beautiful, wise, infinite Father God, be Merciful to me, God. ||1||Pause||

ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਰੂਪ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਅਨੂਪ ਰਸਾਲ ॥
महा अनंद मंगल रूप तुमरे बचन अनूप रसाल ॥
Mahaa anand mangal roop ṫumré bachan anoop rasaal.
O Lord of supreme ecstasy and blissful form, Your Word is so beautiful, so drenched with Nectar.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਚਰਣ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਂਧਿਓ ਪਾਲ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੮॥
हिरदै चरण सबदु सतिगुर को नानक बांधिओ पाल ॥२॥७॥३८॥
Hirḋæ charaṇ sabaḋ saṫgur ko Naanak baaⁿḋʰi▫o paal. ||2||7||38||
With the Lord’s lotus feet enshrined in his heart, Nanak has tied the Shabad, the Word of the True Guru, to the hem of his robe. ||2||7||38||

ਅਪਨੀ ਉਕਤਿ ਖਲਾਵੈ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਪਨੀ ਉਕਤਿ ਖੇਲਾਵੈ ॥
अपनी उकति खलावै भोजन अपनी उकति खेलावै ॥
Apnee ukaṫ kʰalaavæ bʰojan apnee ukaṫ kʰélaavæ.
In His own way, He provides us with our food; in His own way, He plays with us.

ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਭੋਗ ਰਸ ਦੇਵੈ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਨਾਲਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
सरब सूख भोग रस देवै मन ही नालि समावै ॥१॥
Sarab sookʰ bʰog ras ḋévæ man hee naal samaavæ. ||1||
He blesses us with all comforts, enjoyments and delicacies, and he permeates our minds. ||1||
|
ਹਮਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
हमरे पिता गोपाल दइआल ॥
Hamré piṫaa gopaal ḋa▫i▫aal.
Our Father is the Lord of the World, the Merciful Lord.
|
ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖੈ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਕਉ ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जिउ राखै महतारी बारिक कउ तैसे ही प्रभ पाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ji▫o raakʰæ mėhṫaaree baarik ka▫o ṫæsé hee parabʰ paal. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Just as the mother protects her children, God nurtures and cares for us. ||1||Pause||

ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਇਕ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਦੇਵਾ ॥
मीत साजन सरब गुण नाइक सदा सलामति देवा ॥
Meeṫ saajan sarab guṇ naa▫ik saḋaa salaamaṫ ḋévaa.
You are my friend and companion, the Master of all excellences, O eternal and permanent Divine Lord.

ਈਤ ਊਤ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਤਤ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਸੇਵਾ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੯॥
ईत ऊत जत कत तत तुम ही मिलै नानक संत सेवा ॥२॥८॥३९॥
Eeṫ ooṫ jaṫ kaṫ ṫaṫ ṫum hee milæ Naanak sanṫ sévaa. ||2||8||39||
Here, there and everywhere, You are pervading; please, bless Nanak to serve the Saints. ||2||8||39||

संत क्रिपाल दइआल दमोदर काम क्रोध बिखु जारे ॥
Sanṫ kirpaal ḋa▫i▫aal ḋamoḋar kaam kroḋʰ bikʰ jaaré.
The Saints are kind and compassionate; they burn away their sexual desire, anger and corruption.

ਰਾਜੁ ਮਾਲੁ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਜੀਅਰਾ ਇਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਲੈ ਬਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
राजु मालु जोबनु तनु जीअरा इन ऊपरि लै बारे ॥१॥
Raaj maal joban ṫan jee▫araa in oopar læ baaré. ||1||
My power, wealth, youth, body and soul are a sacrifice to them. ||1||
|
ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਤਕਾਰੇ ॥
मनि तनि राम नाम हितकारे ॥
Man ṫan raam naam hiṫkaaré.
With my mind and body, I love the Lord’s Name.

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਹਿਤ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सूख सहज आनंद मंगल सहित भव निधि पारि उतारे ॥ रहाउ ॥
Sookʰ sahj aananḋ mangal sahiṫ bʰav niḋʰ paar uṫaaré. Rahaa▫o.
With peace, poise, pleasure and joy, He has carried me across the terrifying world-ocean. ||Pause||
