ਜੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
जै जगदीस की गति नही जाणी ॥३॥
Jæ jagḋees kee gaṫ nahee jaaṇee. ||3||
but you do not experience the state of victory of the Lord of the Universe. ||3||

ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
सरणि समरथ अगोचर सुआमी ॥
Saraṇ samraṫʰ agochar su▫aamee.
So, enter the Sanctuary of the All-powerful, Unfathomable Lord and Master.

उधरु नानक प्रभ अंतरजामी ॥४॥२७॥३३॥

Saaḋʰsang ṫaræ bʰæ saagar.
Cross over the terrifying world-ocean in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਰਤਨਾਗਰੁ ॥੧॥
हरि हरि नामु सिमरि रतनागरु ॥१॥
Har har naam simar raṫnaagar. ||1||
Remember in meditation the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the source of jewels. ||1||
|
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ॥
सिमरि सिमरि जीवा नाराइण ॥
Simar simar jeevaa naaraa▫iṇ.
Remembering, remembering the Lord in meditation, I live.

ਦੂਖ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਪ ਤਜਾਇਣ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दूख रोग सोग सभि बिनसे गुर पूरे मिलि पाप तजाइण ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḋookʰ rog sog sabʰ binsé gur pooré mil paap ṫajaa▫iṇ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
All pain, disease and suffering is dispelled, meeting the Perfect Guru; sin has been eradicated. ||1||Pause||

ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
जीवन पदवी हरि का नाउ ॥
Jeevan paḋvee har kaa naa▫o.
The immortal status is obtained through the Name of the Lord;
|
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੨॥
मनु तनु निरमलु साचु सुआउ ॥२॥
Man ṫan nirmal saach su▫aa▫o. ||2||
the mind and body become spotless and pure, which is the true purpose of life. ||2||
|
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
आठ पहर पारब्रहमु धिआईऐ ॥
Aatʰ pahar paarbarahm ḋʰi▫aa▫ee▫æ.
Twenty-four hours a day, meditate on the Supreme Lord God.

ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
पूरबि लिखतु होइ ता पाईऐ ॥३॥
Poorab likʰaṫ ho▫é ṫaa paa▫ee▫æ. ||3||
By preordained destiny, the Name is obtained. ||3||
|
ਸਰਣਿ ਪਏ ਜਪਿ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
सरणि पए जपि दीन दइआला ॥
Saraṇ pa▫é jap ḋeen ḋa▫i▫aalaa.
I have entered His Sanctuary, and I meditate on the Lord, Merciful to the meek.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੩੪॥
नानकु जाचै संत रवाला ॥४॥२८॥३४॥
Naanak jaachæ sanṫ ravaalaa. ||4||28||34||
Nanak longs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||28||34||

ਘਰ ਕਾ ਕਾਜੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਰੂੜਾ ॥
घर का काजु न जाणी रूड़ा ॥
Gʰar kaa kaaj na jaaṇee rooṛaa.
The beautiful one does not know the work of his own home.
|
ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਰਚਿਓ ਮੂੜਾ ॥੧॥
झूठै धंधै रचिओ मूड़ा ॥१॥
Jʰootʰæ ḋʰanḋʰæ rachi▫o mooṛaa. ||1||
The fool is engrossed in false attachments. ||1||
|
ਜਿਤੁ ਤੂੰ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਗਨਾ ॥
जितु तूं लावहि तितु तितु लगना ॥
Jiṫ ṫooⁿ laavėh ṫiṫ ṫiṫ lagnaa.
As You attach us, so we are attached.
|
ਜਾ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जा तूं देहि तेरा नाउ जपना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jaa ṫooⁿ ḋėh ṫéraa naa▫o japnaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
When You bless us with Your Name, we chant it. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
हरि के दास हरि सेती राते ॥
Har ké ḋaas har séṫee raaṫé.
The Lord’s slaves are imbued with the Love of the Lord.
|
ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੨॥
राम रसाइणि अनदिनु माते ॥२॥
Raam rasaa▫iṇ an▫ḋin maaṫé. ||2||
They are intoxicated with the Lord, night and day. ||2||
|
ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਢੇ ॥
बाह पकरि प्रभि आपे काढे ॥
Baah pakar parabʰ aapé kaadʰé.
Reaching out to grasp hold of our arms, God lifts us up.

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਢੇ ॥੩॥
जनम जनम के टूटे गाढे ॥३॥
Janam janam ké tooté gaadʰé. ||3||
Separated for countless incarnations, we are united with Him again. ||3||
|
ਉਧਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
उधरु सुआमी प्रभ किरपा धारे ॥
Uḋʰar su▫aamee parabʰ kirpaa ḋʰaaré.
Save me, O God, O my Lord and Master - shower me with Your Mercy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੩੫॥
नानक दास हरि सरणि दुआरे ॥४॥२९॥३५॥
Naanak ḋaas har saraṇ ḋu▫aaré. ||4||29||35||
Slave Nanak seeks Sanctuary at Your Door, O Lord. ||4||29||35||

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
संत प्रसादि निहचलु घरु पाइआ ॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ nihchal gʰar paa▫i▫aa.
By the Grace of the Saints, I have found my eternal home.

ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਫਿਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਡੋੁਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
सरब सूख फिरि नही डुोलाइआ ॥१॥
Sarab sookʰ fir nahee dolaa▫i▫aa. ||1||
I have found total peace, and I shall not waver again. ||1||
|
ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਨੑੇ ॥
गुरू धिआइ हरि चरन मनि चीन्हे ॥
Guroo ḋʰi▫aa▫é har charan man cheenĥé.
I meditate on the Guru, and the Lord’s Feet, within my mind.

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਰਤੈ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਕੀਨੑੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ता ते करतै असथिरु कीन्हे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ṫaa ṫé karṫæ asṫʰir keenĥé. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
In this way, the Creator Lord has made me steady and stable. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
गुण गावत अचुत अबिनासी ॥
Guṇ gaavaṫ achuṫ abʰinaasee.
I sing the Glorious Praises of the unchanging, eternal Lord God,

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ॥੨॥
ता ते काटी जम की फासी ॥२॥
Ṫaa ṫé kaatee jam kee faasee. ||2||
and the noose of death is snapped. ||2||
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
करि किरपा लीने लड़ि लाए ॥
Kar kirpaa leené laṛ laa▫é.
Showering His Mercy, he has attached me to the hem of His robe.
|
ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੩॥੩੦॥੩੬॥
सदा अनदु नानक गुण गाए ॥३॥३०॥३६॥
Saḋaa anaḋ Naanak guṇ gaa▫é. ||3||30||36||
In constant bliss, Nanak sings His Glorious Praises. ||3||30||36||

अमृत बचन साध की बाणी ॥
Amriṫ bachan saaḋʰ kee baṇee.
The Words, the Teachings of the Holy Saints, are Ambrosial Nectar.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਜਪੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਤ ਰਸਨ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जो जो जपै तिस की गति होवै हरि हरि नामु नित रसन बखानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jo jo japæ ṫis kee gaṫ hovæ har har naam niṫ rasan bakʰaanee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Whoever meditates on the Lord’s Name is emancipated; he chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, with his tongue. ||1||Pause||

ਕਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਕਲੇਸਾ ॥
कली काल के मिटे कलेसा ॥
Kalee kaal ké mité kalésaa.
The pains and sufferings of the Dark Age of Kali Yuga are eradicated,
|
ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਵੇਸਾ ॥੧॥
एको नामु मन महि परवेसा ॥१॥
Éko naam man mėh parvésaa. ||1||
when the One Name abides within the mind. ||1||
|
ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਾਈ ॥
साधू धूरि मुखि मसतकि लाई ॥
Saaḋʰoo ḋʰoor mukʰ masṫak laa▫ee.
I apply the dust of the feet of the Holy to my face and forehead.

ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੨॥੩੧॥੩੭॥
नानक उधरे हरि गुर सरणाई ॥२॥३१॥३७॥
Naanak uḋʰré har gur sarṇaa▫ee. ||2||31||37||
Nanak has been saved in the Sanctuary of the Guru, the Lord. ||2||31||37||

गोबिंदा गुण गाउ दइआला ॥
Gobinḋaa guṇ gaa▫o ḋa▫i▫aalaa.
I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, the Merciful Lord.

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दरसनु देहु पूरन किरपाला ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḋarsan ḋéh pooran kirpaalaa. Rahaa▫o.
Please, bless me with the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Perfect, Compassionate Lord. ||Pause||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
करि किरपा तुम ही प्रतिपाला ॥
Kar kirpaa ṫum hee parṫipaalaa.
Please, grant Your Grace, and cherish me.

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਮਾਲਾ ॥੧॥
जीउ पिंडु सभु तुमरा माला ॥१॥
Jee▫o pind sabʰ ṫumraa maalaa. ||1||
My soul and body are all Your property. ||1||
|
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਲੈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਲਾ ॥
अमृत नामु चलै जपि नाला ॥
Amriṫ naam chalæ jap naalaa.
Only meditation on the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, will go along with you.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੨॥੩੨॥੩੮॥

Ṫis bin ḋoojaa avar na ko▫ee.
Without Him, there is no other at all.

ਆਪੇ ਥੰਮੈ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥
आपे थंमै सचा सोई ॥१॥
Aapé ṫʰammæ sachaa so▫ee. ||1||
The True Lord Himself is our anchor. ||1||
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
हरि हरि नामु मेरा आधारु ॥
Har har naam méraa aaḋʰaar.
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is our only support.
|
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करण कारण समरथु अपारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karaṇ kaaraṇ samraṫʰ apaar. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
The Creator, the Cause of all causes, is All-powerful and Infinite. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸਭ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਵੇ ਨਵਾ ਨਿਰੋਆ ॥
सभ रोग मिटावे नवा निरोआ ॥
Sabʰ rog mitaavé navaa niro▫aa.
He has eradicated all illness, and healed me.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਰਖਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੋਆ ॥੨॥੩੩॥੩੯॥
नानक रखा आपे होआ ॥२॥३३॥३९॥
Naanak rakʰaa aapé ho▫aa. ||2||33||39||
O Nanak! He Himself has become my Savior. ||2||33||39||
