tis roop na raykh-i-aa ghat ghat daykhi-aa gurmukh alakh lakhaavani-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
He has no form or shape; He is seen within each and every heart. The Gurmukh comes to know the unknowable. ||1||Pause||

qU dieAwlu ikrpwlu pRBu soeI ] (130-1)
too da-i-aal kirpaal parabh so-ee.
You are God, Kind and Merciful.

quDu ibnu dUjw Avru n koeI ] (130-2)
tuDh bin doojaa avar na ko-ee.
Without You, there is no other at all.

guru prswdu kry nwmu dyvY nwmy nwim smwvixAw ]2] (130-2)
gur parsaad karay naam dayvai naamay naam samaavani-aa. ||2||
When the Guru showers His Grace upon us, He blesses us with the Naam; through the Naam, we merge in the Naam. ||2||

qUM Awpy scw isrjxhwrw ] (130-3)
tooN aapay sachaa sirjanhaaraa.
You Yourself are the True Creator Lord.

BgqI Bry qyry BMfwrw ] (130-3)
bhagtee bharay tayray bhandaaraa.
Your treasures are overflowing with devotional worship.

gurmuiK nwmu imlY mnu BIjY shij smwiD lgwvixAw ]3] (130-3)
gurmukh naam milai man bheejai sahj samaaDh lagaavani-aa. ||3||
The Gurmukhs obtain the Naam. Their minds are enraptured, and they easily and intuitively enter into Samaadhi. ||3||

Anidnu gux gwvw pRB qyry ] (130-4)
an-din gun gaavaa parabh tayray.
Night and day, I sing Your Glorious Praises, God.

quDu swlwhI pRIqm myry ] (130-4)
tuDh saalaahee pareetam mayray.
I praise You, O my Beloved.

quDu ibnu Avru n koeI jwcw gur prswdI qUM pwvixAw ]4] (130-4)
tuDh bin avar na ko-ee jaachaa gur parsaadee tooN paavni-aa. ||4||
Without You, there is no other for me to seek out. It is only by Guru's Grace that You are found. ||4||

Agmu Agocru imiq nhI pweI ] (130-5)
agam agochar mit nahee paa-ee.
The limits of the Inaccessible and Incomprehensible Lord cannot be found.

ApxI ik®pw krih qUM lYih imlweI ] (130-5)
apnee kirpaa karahi tooN laihi milaa-ee.
Bestowing Your Mercy, You merge us into Yourself.

pUry gur kY sbid iDAweIAY sbdu syiv suKu pwvixAw ]5] (130-6)
pooray gur kai sabad Dhi-aa-ee-ai sabad sayv sukh paavni-aa. ||5||
Through the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru, we meditate on the Lord. Serving the Shabad, peace is found. ||5||

rasnaa gunvantee gun gaavai.
Praiseworthy is the tongue which sings the Lord's Glorious Praises.

nwmu slwhy scy BwvY ] (130-7)
naam salaahay sachay bhaavai.
Praising the Naam, one becomes pleasing to the True One.

gurmuiK sdw rhY rMig rwqI imil scy soBw pwvixAw ]6] (130-7)
gurmukh sadaa rahai rang raatee mil sachay sobhaa paavni-aa. ||6||
The Gurmukh remains forever imbued with the Lord's Love. Meeting the True Lord, glory is obtained. ||6||

mnmuKu krm kry AhMkwrI ] (130-8)
manmukh karam karay ahaNkaaree.
The self-willed manmukhs do their deeds in ego.

jUAY jnmu sB bwjI hwrI ] (130-8)
joo-ai janam sabh baajee haaree.
They lose their whole lives in the gamble.

AMqir loBu mhw gubwrw iPir iPir Awvx jwvixAw ]7] (130-8)
antar lobh mahaa gubaaraa fir fir aavan jaavani-aa. ||7||
Within is the terrible darkness of greed, and so they come and go in reincarnation, over and over again. ||7||

Awpy krqw dy vifAweI ] ijn kau Awip ilKqu Duir pweI ] (130-9)
aapay kartaa day vadi-aa-ee. jin ka-o aap likhat Dhur paa-ee.
The Creator Himself bestows Glory on those whom He Himself has so pre-destined.

naanak naam milai bha-o bhanjan gur sabdee sukh paavni-aa. ||8||1||34||
O Nanak, they receive the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Destroyer of fear; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they find peace. ||8||1||34||

Maajh, Fifth Mehl, First House:

AMqir AlKu n jweI liKAw ] (130-10)
antar alakh na jaa-ee lakhi-aa.
The Unseen Lord is within, but He cannot be seen.

nwmu rqnu lY guJw riKAw ] (130-11)
naam ratan lai gujhaa rakhi-aa.
He has taken the Jewel of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and He keeps it well concealed.

Agmu Agocru sB qy aUcw gur kY sbid lKwvixAw ]1] (130-11)
agam agochar sabh tay oochaa gur kai sabad lakhaavani-aa. ||1||
The Inaccessible and Incomprehensible Lord is the highest of all. Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, He is known. ||1||

hau vwrI jIau vwrI kil mih nwmu suxwvixAw ] (130-12)
ha-o vaaree jee-o vaaree kal meh naam sunaavni-aa.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who chant the Naam, in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga.

sant pi-aaray sachai Dhaaray vadbhaagee darsan paavni-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The Beloved Saints were established by the True Lord. By great good fortune, the Blessed Vision of their Darshan is obtained. ||1||Pause||

saaDhik siDh jisai ka-o firday.
The One who is sought by the Siddhas and the seekers,

bRhmy ieMdR iDAwiein ihrdy ] (130-13)
barahmay indar Dhi-aa-in hirday.
upon whom Brahma and Indra meditate within their hearts,

koit qyqIsw Kojih qw kau gur imil ihrdY gwvixAw ]2] (130-13)
kot tayteesaa khojeh taa ka-o gur mil hirdai gaavani-aa. ||2||
whom the three hundred thirty million demi-gods search for-meeting the Guru, one comes to sing His Praises within the heart. ||2||

AwT phr quDu jwpy pvnw ] (130-14)
aath pahar tuDh jaapay pavnaa.
Twenty-four hours a day, the wind breathes Your Name.

DrqI syvk pwiek crnw ] (130-14)
Dhartee sayvak paa-ik charnaa.
The earth is Your servant, a slave at Your Feet.

KwxI bwxI srb invwsI sBnw kY min BwvixAw ]3] (130-15)
khaanee banee sarab nivaasee sabhnaa kai man bhaavni-aa. ||3||
In the four sources of creation, and in all speech, You dwell. You are dear to the minds of all. ||3||

swcw swihbu gurmuiK jwpY ] (130-15)
saachaa saahib gurmukh jaapai.
The True Lord and Master is known to the Gurmukhs.

pUry gur kY sbid is\wpY ] (130-16)
pooray gur kai sabad sinjaapai.
He is realized through the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru.

ijn pIAw syeI iqRpqwsy scy sic AGwvixAw ]4] (130-16)
jin pee-aa say-ee tariptaasay sachay sach aghaavani-aa. ||4||
Those who drink it in are satisfied. Through the Truest of the True, they are fulfilled. ||4||

iqsu Gir shjw soeI suhylw ] (130-16)
tis ghar sahjaa so-ee suhaylaa.
In the home of their own beings, they are peacefully and comfortably at ease.

And ibnod kry sd kylw ] (130-17)
anad binod karay sad kaylaa.
They are blissful, enjoying pleasures, and eternally joyful.

so DnvMqw so vf swhw jo gur crxI mnu lwvixAw ]5] (130-17)
so Dhanvantaa so vad saahaa jo gur charnee man laavani-aa. ||5||
They are wealthy, and the greatest kings; they center their minds on the Guru's Feet. ||5||

pihlo dy qYN irjku smwhw ] (130-18)
pahilo day taiN rijak samaahaa.
First, You created nourishment;

ipCo dy qYN jMqu aupwhw ] (130-18)
pichho day taiN jant upaahaa.
then, You created the living beings.

quDu jyvfu dwqw Avru n suAwmI lvY n koeI lwvixAw ]6] (130-18)
tuDh jayvad daataa avar na su-aamee lavai na ko-ee laavani-aa. ||6||
There is no other Giver as Great as You, O my Lord and Master. None approach or equal You. ||6||

ijsu qUM quTw so quDu iDAwey ] (130-19)
jis tooN tuthaa so tuDh Dhi-aa-ay.
Those who are pleasing to You meditate on You.

swD jnw kw mMqRü kmwey ] (130-19)
saaDh janaa kaa mantar kamaa-ay.
They practice the Mantra of the Holy.

Awip qrY sgly kul qwry iqsu drgh Twk n pwvixAw ]7] (130-19)
aap tarai saglay kul taaray tis dargeh thaak na paavni-aa. ||7||
They themselves swim across, and they save all their ancestors and families as well. In the Court of the Lord, they meet with no obstruction. ||7||
